NICO SPA: Korean style massage experience experience

Thai massage in Bangkok is a very popular tourist activity, allowing tourists to experience traditional massage therapy and relaxation in Thailand itself. This massage combines stretching, compression, massage and acupoint therapy to activate the body's energy, improve blood circulation and enhance physical and mental health. In Bangkok, visitors can find Thai massage in many different places, including street stalls, massage centers, spas, and even high-end hotels and resorts. Many massage centers offer a variety of massage options, from a basic full-body massage to spot massages that focus on the head, feet, shoulders, and more. For tourists who want to have a deeper understanding of Thai massage culture, they can also take some massage classes and learn how to perform self-massage.

Thai massage shops in Taiwan have become very popular. Personally speaking, there are many Thai massage shops and masters in Taiwan with very professional techniques. In terms of experience, there is not much difference between Thai massages in Bangkok and Taiwan. (In terms of price, there is not much difference. gap), so although having a massage is a great way to relieve stress after a full day of walking around in Bangkok, it may not be something you can’t experience in Taiwan.

However, there is a kind of shop that is almost invisible in Taiwan, but there are many shops in Bangkok that provide services, and that is Korean scrub. Korean scrub is a spa treatment originating from Nagoya City and South Korea. It is a kind of scrub. Skin and exfoliation focused spa treatments. This is usually done in a bathhouse or spa. Korean scrubs use Korean materials, including diatomaceous earth, seaweed powder, rice and other natural ingredients of scrub (Scrub), used together with a sponge or scrub cloth to remove cuticles and old cuticles on the surface of the body. This type of spa treatment involves providing a steam or heat soak to help soften the skin and open the pores, making it easier to exfoliate the skin's surface before scrubbing. Through such a Korean-style scrub, you can more thoroughly exfoliate and clean your whole body deeply. There are almost no stores in Taiwan that provide the same services, so I went to try out the nico spa located near ASOK station.

Nico spa is less than 500 meters away from the station. It is quite convenient to walk there. It is located on the second floor, so it is easy to miss it, so be careful. After taking the elevator upstairs, the clerk will show you the menu and choose the plan you want. Then checkout first.

The menu is divided into four major sections, Area A is pure bathing, Area B is pure massage, and Area C is rubbing + massage. Area D has additional value-added services such as upgraded jacuzzi or herbal bath. What I chose here is the 90-minute rubbing + pressing plan in Area C.

At the beginning, you will be given a large bath towel to steam in the sauna oven. It will take about 20 minutes. However, people who have never taken the test may be prone to dizziness. If your body can't stand it, it is recommended to come out quickly. The temperature inside is about 65-65. It is about 70 degrees. There are hot stones and water in the corner. When the water is poured on the stones, it will evaporate quickly and fill the entire sauna room, but it will feel hotter. It's very enjoyable, but you should pay attention to hydration. If you have heart-related diseases, it is best not to enter.

After the sauna, the service staff will guide you to the scrub bathing area. It is not large, about ten square meters, and is divided into two areas. One side is the herbal bath, but I did not experience it without purchasing it. On the other side are four waterproof massage tables side by side. There is a curtain in the middle to avoid embarrassment between customers. The service staff will then ask you to lie down on the massage table. Next is SOP time.

1. Will wet you with warm water

2. Apply shower gel all over the body, scrub lightly and rinse off with water.

3. Wear special gloves for bathing and scrub your whole body

4. Rinse away the dirt with clean water.

5. Repeat steps 2-4 again

6. Wash your hair

The bath gloves are not as thick as vegetable cloth and have the same feel as a bath ball, so there will be no peeling or bleeding problems during the bath. People with sensitive skin problems can also communicate with the service staff to adjust the strength. The entire set of SOP should take about 40 minutes to run.

After the bath, the guests will be invited back to the independent private massage room, which contains massage beds, chairs and shower room equipment, and then the SOP for essential oil massage. I feel that it is similar to many places, so I won’t go into details one by one. Essential oils After the massage, please take a shower to wash off the essential oils on your body. This is the general experience process.

Some people may have questions, but I don’t know the exact answer because it’s my first time there.

Q1: Can I choose service personnel?

A1: I don’t know, they didn’t give me a choice, but if I don’t like it I can probably change it.

Q2: Can girls go?

A2: They didn’t say that it should be okay for female guests to stop. The service chefs are all girls, so it should be fine.

I only felt that the experience of taking a bath was novel at the moment, but after I left, I had a different feeling. Normally when I sweat, I feel more sticky and irritated. But after taking a bath, even though I was still sweating while walking in the bright sun, I felt a lot refreshed and no longer felt sticky and unbearable. If you are traveling independently, it is recommended to experience it on the first day and then follow the itinerary. It will be much happier
