Hello communities, Yoitsu would like to renew committee delegatio. Here is a small summary of our's activities during last delegation round and plannings in the future.

Validator's Activities

  • Participated proposal 85 about migration of LikeCoin 3.0.

  • Mainnet validator node is running normally most of the time, except it was jailed on 8/9, and resumed nextday.

Appendix: A Brief Incident Report For Yoitsu got jailed yesterday.

What causes it?

  • A hard disk I/O problem caused the server which running liked stop running on 8/8/2024.

  • I didn't notice the notification on #mainnet-node-status channel in Discord yesterday.

How do I unjail my node?

  • I checked hard drive in recovery environment and reboot the server.

  • Fortunately, data before IO error happened was fine. So I could be catching up missing blocks and unjail my node soonly.

How do I take some actions for preventing it happens again?

  • I create a planning task for checking hard drive and filesystem monthly. This may cause a period of disruption during the check, but should help prevent such fatal errors from happening again.

Some Conclusion?

  • You can't rely on a single way to monitor operational status.

  • Check for potential errors early before they build up and cause more trouble.

Operators' Activities

  • Proposals announcement bot on Discord is running normally at most times. (While there are only one proposals raised in this decade :-)

  • Providing liquity on Osmosis with LIKE/OSMO pair.

  • Participating Community Delegation Committee works.

  • Made some changes of CDC's multisig wallet guide: hackmd.io/@kenookami... , it may appliable to other multisig wallet operators.

Future Plannings

  • Keep tracking of LikeCoin 3.0 upgrades, and give assistance if I could help.
