iPhone 16 Launch Draws Crowds at Power Mac Center
Early Arrivals Get Rewards
In Makati, Lynn Anog secured the front spot in line, beating previous frontrunner Joey Reyes. Anog and her husband started queuing at 5 p.m. on October 15 to take advantage of PMC’s promo, offering accessories worth P30,000 to the first 50 customers.
“We saved for four years to make this purchase. It was worth the wait,” Anog shared.
Upgrading for Better Features
RJ Perez, a trader from Quezon, finally upgraded from his iPhone 11. “There’s a huge difference with the iPhone 16. This time, it felt worth it,” Perez said, adding that he used his 13th-month pay for the purchase and opted for the store’s payment plan.
Students Queue for Bosses
Working student Scarlet Mia spent seven hours in line to buy the iPhone 16 for her boss, in exchange for an iPhone 12 ProMax. Similarly, Clyde Amante queued for his employer, earning extra cash to support his studies.
“I dream of buying my own phone one day, but right now, I need to focus on school,” Amante said.
Celebrity Appearances and Offers
Customers beyond the first 300 received store credits worth P5,000. Early buyers also enjoyed live performances and met celebrities like Sam Concepcion and Alyssa Valdez. The iPhone 16 was launched at midnight in four PMC locations: Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, Robinsons Galleria Cebu, and SM Lanang in Davao.
