CarEasy’s dynamic leadership comprises Vikram and Shashank, each bringing unique skills to the table. Vikram, an alumnus of IIT Guwahati, oversees operations, finance, B2B sales, and research & development. Shashank, an alumnus of IIM Kashipur, handles strategy, marketing, HR, and more. Their partnership was forged through a 30-minute conversation over dinner, during which Vikram recognized Shashank as the ideal collaborator. Shashank’s decision to join CarEasy as Co-Founder early in the morning solidified their partnership. The founders refer to themselves as “well-coordinated founders.” They juggled 9-to-5 jobs during CarEasy’s early days while simultaneously building the startup from the ground up, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the business.
Navigating Through the Pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic swept through India, workshops and daily wage workers bore the brunt of its impact. Acknowledging their responsibility, CarEasy launched a new segment focused on vehicle sanitization for the B2C market through Facebook advertisements. This initiative not only garnered significant responses but also provided workshops with an alternative source of income during the pandemic. Vehicle sanitization, in high demand due to the virus, enabled workshops associated with CarEasy to stay operational.
