反送中國際輿論戰 - 英語世界如何報導佔領立法會

- 媒體主要用 “stormed”(衝擊) 和 “vandalise”(恣意毀壞),亦有不少以 “violent”(暴力)來形容昨天的行動
- 有不少媒體都提供一定程度的背景資料,例如過去多次行動政府都不為所動,有個別媒體亦訪問了昨天的行動者,解釋他們為何要衝入立法會。
- 有媒體指衝擊會令運動失去溫和支持者支持,New York Times其中一篇文章甚至以「分化運動」(Dividing Movement) 形容。
我覺得現在輿論戰可以做的,就是我們不同背景的人 -年輕的年長的、為人家長老師、商人專業人士、和理非的,以自己的身位去證明運動中人並沒有互相指責,也沒有去割蓆。網上已有很多持類似觀點的中文文章,可以的話,我們可以寫多幾篇英文,然後投稿給以下的媒體。
我們亦需要強調林鄭未負上責任,重申香港政府才是分化和打壓香港自由的黑手。國際社會需要持續施壓,才能抵禦往後中國對香港的控制。
再進取一點的朋友,可以嘗試辯論昨天的行動並不是暴力或恣意毀壞。抗爭者並不是盲目發泄,他們是有目標、以最低、非針對人的武力,達到抗議不義體制的效果。我們也可以嘗試跟其他威權體制下的抗爭運動作比較。
