Men's table tennis defeats Denmark in the quarterfinals of the World Championships team event

Korea, which had already qualified for the Paris Olympics by advancing to the quarterfinals, secured a bronze medal by advancing to the semifinals, winning medals four times in a row, following 2016, 2018, and 2022 (bronze medals). At the World Championships, bronze medals are awarded to both teams that lose in the semifinals without a 3rd/4th place match.
In Korea's first game, Jong-Hoon Lim came on and defeated Lin Anders 3-1 (11-8 11-8 9-11 14-12).
In the second game, Woojin Jang lost to Yonatan Groat 1-3 (9-11 9-11 11-5 3-11), making the match score 1-1.
However, Ahn Jae-hyun, who played in the third game, defeated Martin Buk Andersen 3-0 (11-2 13-11 11-7) and took the lead again.
In the 4th game, Lim Jong-hoon appeared again. Lim Jong-hoon confirmed his place in the semifinals by defeating Groat, who defeated Jang Woo-jin, 3-1 (9-11 12-10 11-6 11-8).
