New Lakers aid Wesley Matthews said in an interview that he would help the Lakers raise another (championship) flag, and he also talked about his past with Kobe.

"What you got is a player who is ready to go shopping," Wesley said. "I'm here to help the Lakers raise another (championship) flag. No matter who I am defending, I will make him live very well. Uncomfortable."

Wesley suffered a torn left Achilles tendon while playing for the Blazers in 2015, and Kobe called him for condolences and encouragement, which moved Matthews.
