Gender issues in the Tokyo Olympics

Besides the exciting competition, there were more things that should be noted during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Let's focus on some gender issues in the Tokyo Olympics.
German gymnastics initiated a leotard revolution:
German gymnastics chose to wear trousers-shaped tights that cover their thighs in the Tokyo Olympic Qualifying Tournament to show their position: Women have the freedom to choose and wear clothes that make them comfortable.
The Associated Press reported that for decades, female gymnasts have always worn tights with triangular high-slits and exposing their entire thighs. However, the German gymnasts chose to wear trousers tights to resist the phenomenon of the sexualization of women in gymnastics.
The German gymnasts first wore full-body gymnastics suits in the European Gymnastics Championships. They wanted to express that every woman and every person should decide what to wear. They also wanted to be a role model so that everyone has the courage to follow their steps.
The number of Olympic female athletes hit a record high:
Female athletes accounted for 49% in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which made history in the Olympics record. It is a remarkable fact that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics has made some achievements in the average reform.
Let us continue to fight for women's equality. We should keep making efforts to make the world better.
