Why Am I Not Receiving Emails On My Hotmail Account?

Recently, Hotmail users have started having a strange problem with their email account. Whenever they refresh the inbox, they don’t get new emails on their email account.

Delete the rules - 

When you can’t receive emails on the hotmail account, you should check the email rules. Most probably, the hotmail account details are incorrect. So you need to check the incoming and outgoing server settings. 

1. Open the outlook mail account. 
2. Go to the settings. 
3. Click on the Email rules. 
4. Here, you need to delete the email rules. 

Delete the forwarding settings - 

Sometimes, the Hotmail account is unable to receive the emails because of the forwarding settings. When forwarding is active on the outlook account. You will not be able to receive the new emails on the account. 

So you need to delete the forwarding settings. After that, you should try to access the hotmail account again. 

1. Open the outlook mail account. 
2. Click on the view all outlook settings. 
3. Click on the forwarding. 
4. Now delete the forwarding rules. 

Terminate all email rules - 

When hotmail is not getting emails or emails are being deleted automatically. You should check the email sweep rules. If there is any sweep rule active on your device. 

1. Open the hotmail account. 
2. Click on the settings >> view all settings. 
3. Click on the sweep rules. 
4. Select the sweep rule and then click on the delete account. 

Check the incoming & outgoing server settings - 

If hotmail is not getting emails on the applications, you need to check the incoming and outgoing server settings.  Please make sure that the imap and pop3 server settings are correct. In case, if you are still having trouble, you need to remove the account and then re-add it. 

Fix the browser- 

If Hotmail is not receiving emails on the browser. You need to clear the browsing data. To do that, you need to delete all kinds of browsing data. You need to go to the chrome >> settings >> privacy and data >> cookies and browsing data. Here you need to delete all kinds of browsing data. 

Once you will delete the browsing data. You need to sign in to the hotmail account again. It will start working fine on your device.
