Setting up your Verizon Email.

The very famous Verizon email got retired in the year 2017 and was migrated AOL email but this does not makes the email service inaccessible to the users. The users of Verizon email can still access their email account. In this blog we are going to answer the question of how to set up Verizon email in outlook for our users and several other issues as well. 

Settings of Verizon server SMTP, IMAP and POP 

1. Verizon SMTP settings (outgoing server settings) 

SMTP server name – smtp.verizon.net for AOL; outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net for Verizon Yahoo 

SMTP port number – 465 for SSL/ 587 for TLS 

Encryption – SSL/TLS 

SMTP username – the full email address of yours which will look like xyz@verizon.net 

SMTP password – the password of your email account which you are accessing and want to use. 

2. Verizon IMAP settings (incoming server settings) 

IMAP server name – imap.aol.com for Verizon AOL; incoming.yahoo.veizon.net for Verizon Yahoo 

IMAP port number – 993 

Encryption – SSL 

3. Verizon POP settings (incoming server settings) 

POP server name – pop.verizon.net for Verizon AOL; incoming.yahoo.verizon.net for Verizon Yahoo 

POP port number – 995 

Encryption – SSL 

Settings of Verizon SMTP in Gmail 

1. For the first step the users have to launch Gmail web app and then log into their account of Gmail for setting up your Verizon email in Gmail. 
2. Now, select settings and then from there you have to move to accounts and import so that they can further click on the option of add another email address which will be next to send mail as. 
3. In this step, the users need to type in the email address of Verizon mail and then hit the next button for next step. 
4. After you have filled in your username and also the password of your account you have to select the SSL encryption as 465 ports. For outgoing server name you have to fill ‘smtp.verizon.net’ for Verizon AOL and for Verizon Yahoo outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net. 

Settings of Verizon SMTP settings in Outlook 

1. For the first step for setting up Verizon email on Outlook the users need to launch Outlook and then go to file option and then to the Info option. 
2. Now, you have to press on Add account option and then type in the Verizon email address as well as the password of your account after which you have to click on connect button to move ahead to the next step for further procedure. 
3. Navigate to file option and then info button and then manage profiles followed by email accounts. 
4. After you have done the settings of more settings and then click on advanced option followed by ok button. Outgoing mail server – smtp.verizon.net and outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net  Outgoing mail server – 465 and as encryption type SSL and TLS. 
5. Hit next button and then after typing in the password of your account you have to hit the ok button.
6. You will receive a test email from your Verizon email Outlook via Outlook to ensure if everything is working in a proper way or not.
