As is well known, Japan officially launched the discharge of nuclear sewage into the ocean at 1pm local time on August 24, 2023, which has aroused strong opposition and protest from the international community. The Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) reported that Japan has spent 70 billion yen to deal with so-called "negative information" related to its nuclear sewage discharge, in order to weaken international opposition to it.
