The Two Eco-Friendly Skincare Brands


Eco-friendly and organic skincare products are not only good for the planet, but also good for your skin! Aesop and The Body Shop are the two brands that I want to introduce today. They put lots of emphasis on environmental protection and cruelty free. They also select natural and organic plants as the key ingredients.

Aesop is an Australian skin care brand established in 1987. As a pioneer in clean beauty, Aesop is 100% cruelty-free, vegan and has minimal environmental impact. They have always used sustainable packaging, including its iconic amber glass bottle to preserve the potent botanical extracts. The dark amber glass bottle also helps protect the products from damaging UV light. Aesop has launched the “Rinse and Return” recycling programme for years. Customers are invited to participate by simply returning those rinsed plastic and glass bottles, and empty aluminium tubing to any Aesop offline stores in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

The Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Intense Serum is one of the Aesop bestsellers. The lightweight serum hydrates your skin with anti-oxidant benefits. It is suited to most skin types, including sensitive skin. The serum is stored in an amber glass bottle with a pipette. You can repurpose or recycle the rinsed containers. 

The Body Shop is a British skin care brand established in 1976. They are driven by the purpose of fighting for a fairer and more beautiful world. As a certified B Corporation™, The Body Shop balances profit and purpose. They not only take action against the climate crisis, but also fight the animal testing, commit to fairer and more sustainable ingredient and container sourcing. 

Tea Tree Oil is one of the most popular products in The Body Shop. This vegan purifying facial oil helps reduce the blemishes and redness. It is suited to oily and blemished skin. The tea tree leaves are sustainably sourced in Kenya. It is a fair trade that provides a fair price and stable income to the farmers in rural Kenya.
