What materials are used to make the top plate?

• Brass ones are very harmonious with instruments that have "gold" elements. The metal is hard, which is why it gives good sustain and an even, pure sound. It is difficult and even sometimes dangerous to work with, as it does not conduct heat well, and the alloy dust can contain lead. It can be poisoning. Be sure to use a respirator and goggles when working with this metal.
• Tusk and Corian. These materials are not natural, but they are not too hard to work with. With proper, unhurried processing, they can give you a classy sound.

Locking Thresholds.
