Legislative Yuan(立法院) Christmas Gospel Gala

On December 18, 2024, eight years later, the Legislative Yuan once again held the "Christmas Gospel Gala". This "Gospel Gala" was hosted by the KMT legislator Lai Shi-bao(賴士葆), who is a Christian. Legislative Yuan Han-Guo Yu(韓國瑜), former Supervisory President Wang Jian-Xuan(王建煊), and many legislators attended, and the atmosphere was joyful. In the "Christmas Gospel Party", Han-Guo Yu(韓國瑜) and Wang Jian-Xuan(王建煊) jointly testified and preached the gospel.

1.      God is love

 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (NIV, 1 John 4:16)

Han-Guo Yu(韓國瑜) said that he hopes the society will be warm and full of love; Wang Jianxuan also called for making Taiwan an island of love. Love is so important, it enables harmony, tolerance, warmth and friendship between people... Jesus Christ taught many truths, the core of which is love! The whole law is contained in this sentence, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Gal. 5:14).

We must spread the love of the gospel of the Lord Jesus from the island of Taiwan in the East to the whole world. The Bible says:
   ….proclaim good news to the poor.
 He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
     and recovery of sight for the blind,
 to set the oppressed free,

(NIV, Luke 4:18).

2.      Wang Jian-Xuan(王建煊)’s message: God is light

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. (NIV, 1 John 1:5)

Wang Jian-Xuan(王建煊) said: "On the day the Savior Jesus was born, in the wilderness of Bethlehem, the glory of the Lord shone on all sides, illuminating the shepherds in the wilderness."

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  (NIV, Luke 2:8-11)

3.      Han-Guo Yu(韓國瑜) testified: There really is God, and God is light

"Forty years ago, with funds allocated by the Taiwanese government, the National Science Council invited four scientists to conduct a real test: Is there a god in this world? These four people are all atheists and have Ph.D.s in science and engineering; when they After completing the experiment, all four professors became theists!"

"These four professors found more than 8,000 children in Taipei City, put Chinese characters in bags, and asked each child to reach out and touch them to test whether their fingers could read? Among them, two children were found to have the ability to read with their fingers! The professor was afraid that the children would cheat, so he put the simplified Chinese character for "win"(胜) in the text. The child said: I don't know what the meaning of this word is. The professor asked the two of them to write it down, and they actually wrote "win(胜)"! "

"The professor did another experiment. This time he put a word "God" in the bag. Two children said: I can't read. I touched "light", which was a very strong light. I don't know what the word is. I just feel such a bright light!"

The final conclusion of this experiment: There is a God, and God is light. Jesus Christ is this light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.  " (NIV, John 1:9)
