Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars and pop superstar Lady Gaga continue to reign atop the Billboard Global charts with their hit song “Die With A Smile” for a sixth consecutive week.

Impressive Streaming Numbers

According to Billboard, from September 27 to October 3, “Die With A Smile” achieved 117.3 million streams and 9,000 units sold worldwide. The song has surpassed 100 million streams each week for the past five weeks, making it the most streamed song this year, outpacing Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Understanding the Global Charts

The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales data from over 200 territories, compiled by Luminate. This marks the first No. 1 hit for both Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars on the Global 200 since its launch.

Current Chart Landscape

In the latest Global 200 rankings, Billie Eilish’s “Birds Of A Feather” holds the No. 2 spot, followed by newcomers “Timeless” by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti. Sabrina Carpenter’s tracks “Taste,” “Espresso,” and “Please, Please, Please” occupy the fourth, fifth, and seventh positions, respectively. Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” is at No. 6, while “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is eighth. Rounding out the Top 10 are “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone and “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” by Karol G.

A Heartfelt Message

Released in August 2024, “Die With A Smile” conveys a touching message about cherishing loved ones until the end. Its heartfelt theme resonates with listeners, contributing to its commercial success.
