母親節 – Mother’s Day

今天是英國的母親節，三月的第二個星期日。

我剛到英國時，以為全世界的母親節都是同一天，還自以為是鬧了不少笑話。咳，過去的糗事就留在歷史裡吧!

在英國，把母親節是定在四旬期 (LENT) 的第四個星期日，傳統上這是希望鼓勵基督徒在四旬期內懷念他們的【母教堂】註 的日子。但漸漸的，這一天已經變成在外工作，或是讀書的孩子們都會回家，讓所有家人在聖誕節之後再一次團聚一起來慶祝這個節日。

我後來才知道，很多國家的母親節都訂在不一樣日期，想想每天都是母親節，多好啊。就像天底下的母親 365 天都值得為她們慶祝。

我的母親節跟 一般的星期日一樣，稀鬆平常，只是多了咱家女兒，送的花跟泰迪。再辛苦都值得啦。

And I love you for giving me your eyes 
For staying back and watching me shine and I didn't know if you knew
