An unknown animal

Mashenka always thought that butterflies had their own life. One day they would spread their wings and become animals unknown to her and others.

With this thought, she took her mother's brooch and decided to climb to the roof of her house to throw the butterfly down.

The girl slowly climbed up the creaky stairs to the fourth floor, holding her precious burden with trepidation. Suddenly! A ferret blocked her way. He stood up on his hind legs, panted, and rushed on.

Finally she climbed out on the roof.

There were birds flying everywhere - pigeons and sparrows. And among them flew...

Mashenka put the butterfly on one of the roof tiles, and went to see what was going on downstairs in the street.

Outside, the girl tried to catch her parrot, which had flown away after the sparrows.
