Hello everyone, I am the God of October.

Malaysian, studying in China, graduated with a major in drama, film and television literature.

The main job is the e-commerce operation that cannot compete with the professional eight poles. But I'm leaving soon because I want to focus on writing, even though I know it's hard to make a living in Malaysia by writing.

At present, the output of articles is mainly based on comprehensive film and television reviews, and in my spare time, I write about the humanities.

About me and my vest

The name "October God" was created for the comprehensive film and television reviews, and other vests were used to write original novels and fanfiction.

The film and television review has been in business for a year and a half. Two articles were published in Sin Chew Daily, and the rest were published on Fanzhuan and the second-hand book platform Booku.

Tongren has been operating for a year, and it has improved slightly, but the essence is to love power generation, and neither reward nor money will be paid.

In middle school, I wrote many original novels, and one of them won an award. But I haven't written it now, because I really don't have the energy.

The dream is to complete a movie script and see the name "October God" in the screenwriter column. At present, I have the idea, but the details have not been thought out, so I haven't started writing it for a long time. I wish I could write it in my lifetime.

Join Matters

Last year, I established a fan club, urging myself to write at least one film and television review every week, and now I have accumulated more than 10 reviews. There are not many, but every time I look back, I feel that I have made progress, so I am quite satisfied.

The problem is that apart from a few hardcore friends, no one watches the fanzine at all.

So I started looking for other creative platforms. I joined the potato media platform in December last year, but because I was busy with my regular job and didn’t have time to code, I didn’t have many articles and my income was minimal.

I also thought about whether to open a personal website, but the operation is too troublesome (for me), and I don’t think my works have accumulated enough to enrich the content of the website, and the quality is not good, so I put it on hold for the time being the idea.

Later, on the potato platform, I saw that many people started in Matt City, and I came in curiously for a while, only to find that there is such a platform.

After shopping around for a while, I came up with the idea of stationing and operating here. I hope that the article can be seen by more people, and I hope to find friends who love chasing dramas, variety shows and movies as much as I do, and discuss the plot together.

Business content

My fanzine and potato are both vertical content, that is, only comprehensive film and television reviews.

This also resulted in my production being very low. The first is that I don't have time to follow dramas + write comments, and in many cases it's fine to finish watching dramas. Unless it's something I particularly like, I'll write my afterthought. The second is that I always feel that I am not good at writing, so I spend a lot of time on polishing the article.

Therefore, my expectation for my entry into Matters is to be richer in content types, not just commenting on comprehensive films.

Instead, the trivialities and emotions of life are recorded on matetrs.

Hopefully, a year from now, I will look back at this article with relief.
