A little sense of appreciation for the Citizens Republic proposal

As long as the proposal can be put forward, voted on and implemented fairly, it doesn't really matter what the content of the proposal is, because it is up to the voters to decide whether it is passed or not. This space can actually give enough flexibility to appreciate the governance of the civil republic. In the final analysis, people are the main body of the community.

DAOs and liquid democracy are both topics that Lao Mao cares about. A while ago, I saw some comments and praise for the bills on the Citizen's Republic. The general idea is that these bills are bound to pass, it doesn't matter whether you vote or not, and there is a lack of discussion. The implication is that the bills are all being manipulated. suspected.

To date, there have been forty-one proposals for a civil republic, but how did the concept of these proposals come about? How is the production process? How to discuss the revision and even the final plan? Who is participating in the discussion? Where is the discussion done? How does the person who makes the proposal grasp and write the content of the proposal? The whole process will not be born out of nothing, naturally generated. Not to mention that there are still a lot of people who voted for the proposal to pass. So who are these people who voted? Did you cast? Do they have their own judgment, or are they rubber stamps? But now there are hundreds of votes for many proposals praising the Citizen's Republic, and it's not easy to get hundreds of rubber stamps. And if they do rubber stamps, what good are they?

In fact, are we not participating, or are the motions being manipulated? When we think about it carefully, it seems that it is not so childish? At least the old cat, as a reference, felt that this was not the case. To be honest, I don’t know why, and most of the time it is also limited by my own resources, so I can’t participate too much or too deeply.

If the proposal is really manipulated, the Likers should ship quickly and leave as soon as possible. In fact, this is also the beauty of the blockchain - if you are not satisfied, you will get it until you are satisfied, or if you are not satisfied, go. If not, the community is maintained by a large group of such enthusiastic people. It takes time to make a proposal (the old cat has done it, so I know it), and there is no interest charged on the deposit for the case, which reduces personal financial liquidity and opportunities (the old cat also often does it, and I understand and feel it very well). Voting is easy, but you have to pay gas fees. What you are willing to do, regardless of motivation, is also contributing. Writing criticism is also a contribution, but being able to say something is an even greater contribution.

Others are relatively inactive, can't pay, or even earn some resources, the old cat really doesn't think there is a problem. Everyone has their own busyness, their own difficulties, and their own ideas. There is no need to feel guilty, let alone look down upon them. The community is inherently multi-faceted. At the same time, to be fair, the community cannot guarantee that you will be satisfied, but the community is composed of many individuals. It is normal for proposals to pass often. Making a proposal is not for fun. Writing a proposal will naturally have a more complete plan, which is easier to enter into the letter. Even if these plans have already been communicated before the proposal to obtain some Liker understanding, then the proposal will naturally be easy to pass. Moreover, the voting mechanism has the deposit to prevent abuse, and the person who pays the deposit must consider the risk of the deposit being confiscated (the old cat was confiscated the deposit due to a momentary inadvertence in other chains).

Some also said, why can't I see the discussion? My observation is that discussions exist from time to time, but not necessarily in a way that you can easily digest, unless you pay a secretary to help you organize, and the premise is that the secretary understands better than you. To digest the scattered discussion content requires mastering the content knowledge and background. Just like the process of turning a new friend into an old friend or a female friend into a girlfriend, it is always time-consuming and labor-intensive. If you haven't caught up, it's useless to spend more time and effort, saying that he doesn't know how good you are. Going on Discord, going to Matters, and participating in the monthly Community Call are all good channels for understanding, getting to know, and communicating.

For example, a popular saying in Hong Kong in the past two or three years: Brothers climb mountains and work hard. mutual encouragement!
