"Look at the phone"

Since the popularity of smart phones, there are now almost one for everyone! I heard that many elders who play Pokemon may still have two or three? !

I got up early this morning, so I went out early! When I arrived at Ximen MRT Station, I heard relaxed and happy music playing in the station. I could feel that Taipei MRT Corporation wished all travelers a relaxed and happy day in this way~

To be honest, I was rushing out every day a while ago, and I seldom noticed that there was music playing in the MRT station.

After entering the MRT compartment, I quickly selected a seat and sat down nearby. There are not many people in the car at this time, so you can probably know what people nearby are doing by simply looking around for a week. Not surprisingly, 70% of the people in the car are looking down at their phones, 28% are resting with their eyes closed, and the remaining 2% are boring people like me or people in a daze.

I often wonder, what are these people in the MRT doing all the time staring at their phones? In my "unintentional" observations, nothing more than swiping FB, IG, chatting or watching videos, stocks and news.

What about when you were in Switzerland?

There are really very few people on the MRT who look down at their phones! Most of the people who look down at their mobile phones are young people. Office workers or middle-aged and elderly people usually look out the window or in a daze. And most of the content young people are watching is similar to us~

In my impression, I have taken the MRT/Subway in four countries, including Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland and Germany. In my observation, among these four countries, the proportion of people who look down at their mobile phones during commuting is Taiwan = Japan > Germany > Switzerland.

Why are there these differences? Personally, I think it has to do with the usual habits of life. European friends often run outdoors during holidays! I think they have more connections with nature, so I also cultivate the beauty that they are always observing and paying attention to various small details in life~

Asians, on the other hand, may have a small living space, and the range of activities they can move is so large. Although they say that you should put down your phone and pay attention to the beautiful things around you, but in a crowded MRT, there are people on the left and right... Maybe people will think that you are inexplicable when you look around? !

While I was typing this article, I was on my way home... I was also staring at the screen and quickly pressing the phonetic input method.

Sometimes, I really miss the "look" of living in Switzerland before, especially at that time, I learned how to see the world with my eyes and listen with my heart!

However, it all starts with the ability to take your eyes off the phone.
