The world's first timber traceability system was launched—Interview with Li Jianlin, director of the Forestry Bureau, and Zhang Shangyuan, director of Odingtin
Recently, more and more friends around me have started WFH (work from home), and I also found that although the Internet is very convenient, there are still many things that cannot be done, such as how to sign a paper contract?
I provide a solution to the blockchain. As long as the digital file of the contract is stored on the blockchain after calculation, it can not only achieve the effect of stamping to avoid forgery, but also directly collaborate on the Internet. Before the pandemic, people mentioned that improving digital collaboration with blockchain is about cost-effectiveness, but now there is one more reason to reduce the spread of the virus.
This podcast episode is my interview with the Forest Service. I believe that many people's understanding of the Forestry Bureau starts from the forest recreation area, but today's interviewees are Li Jianlin, chief of the forestry and obstetrics section of the afforestation production team, and Zhang Shangyuan (Sam), the marketing business director of Odingtin.
In the program, we talked about the most upstream afforestation all the way to the most downstream log furniture. In the past, to link the entire industry chain, it relied on paper invoices. But now the Forest Service commissioned by Odintin has built a traceability system, allowing consumers to scan the QR code with their mobile phones to see the complete resume of wood products.
Discussion topics include:
- What does the Forest Service do?
- How was the wood originally traced?
- How does the new traceability system apply blockchain?
