Little lamb go back to my house! Experience in raising pets, with photos of young goats, goslings and dogs

In order to increase the extra income for the family, my mother raised goats in my grandfather's abandoned farmland a few years ago!
What Ma originally wanted to target was a whole market of mutton sheep used for worshipping gods.
Anyway, my grandfather's abandoned farmland is near our house, and it takes less than five minutes to get there by bike.
Given the area of the place, it was large enough to raise one or two hundred goats.
So at least the problem of location and round-trip transportation, you don't have to worry about it.
Moreover, there are still many overgrown wastelands near my grandfather's abandoned farmland.
It also happens to provide an endless source of herbivore for goats.
However, problems often surface one by one only after real action has been taken.
Just from the point of view of feeding: even the best animals have their doors.
And one of the most vulnerable hoods for raising goats,
Even young sheep are prone to sudden flatulence due to flatulence.
In just a few days, or even a few hours, they died suddenly.
On the other hand, or because several lambs were born in one litter, the breast milk was not distributed enough;
Or because the goat mother herself is too young, too old, and undernourished, resulting in insufficient breast milk;
Anyway, every once in a while, there are always some lambs who must rely on us to feed them with milk to supplement their nutrition.
Mothers often take those lambs that lack breast milk and have sudden flatulence,
Put them all together in the laundry basket and take them home with a motorcycle to take care of them.
Even though we have tried our best to look at the passport material!
There are quite a few lambs, still unable to escape the attack of flatulence,
Only a few weeks, or even a few days, were born!
He died prematurely and died in the bathroom on the first floor of our house.
Leaving aside the regret for the untimely death of life, let's talk about business!
Lambs are, after all, the result of our spending a lot of money and energy to feed ewes and breed with rams.
We are also very heartbroken and reluctant to let the cost go to waste like this.
In addition to heartache and reluctance, my mother later buried the young corpses of these lambs who were not related to our family and their own mothers in the depths of the open space outside the sheep garden.
Sheep is also a very emotional and spiritual animal.
(At least, compared to my yard, the group of indifferent wild cats that relied on and reproduced for several generations, it is much better!)
If the "kissed sheep" dies (it's not a "relative", right?), the other members of the goat family will cry for days with a bleak and bleak sound, and they will also experience loss of appetite.
The lambs mourn the dead ewes; the ewes, in turn, mourn the young ones who die prematurely.
And the young sheep that we feed with milk at home will treat us like parents and run around with us.
And by nature, young sheep will bite at the sight of paper cloth, and they will constantly jump up and down when encountering tables, chairs, stairs, or rough surfaces.
Sometimes when they are resting, I will deliberately run to jump in front of the lambs, and then they will immediately get up and start performing the "spring gymnastics" they are good at!
We can also play head games with the little ram:
Just clench your fists and head towards the little ram's head in a horizontal direction, and then they will push back unwillingly, but don't underestimate the strength of the little ram's head back!
Some two-month-old little rams already weigh more than ten kilograms!
Regardless of male or female, whether moving or still, the lambs are really cute and playful.
If you only bring back one sheep, it is often more troublesome than bringing back two or three sheep to take care of.
Why?
Because sheep is a kind of animal that is very afraid of being alone, once it is alone, it will keep mourning because of fear.
But once the lamb is accompanied, whether it is a human, a dog, a cat, a geese, a tortoise, or a rabbit, it will not be afraid.
So at the same time, only one lamb was brought home to take care of, and Mom would make sure it was always by her side. So no matter if the mother goes to the balcony, kitchen, bathroom or living room, the lamb must follow every step of the way.
If Mom wants to go out and can't take the lamb with her, she should keep it with the cat, dog, etc.
Like the black dog that my family recently raised, it only has the appearance of the black dog brother, but not the arrogance of the black dog brother. When he sees the lamb, he will be chased by the sheep, so it is quite suitable to be locked with the lamb.
But we still consider:
The black earth dog, he may still have a moment when his "dog character" recovers and his bestiality explodes.
After all, my black dog brother, although he loves and respects all kinds of small animals smaller than him,
But at the same time, Brother Black Dog loves to bark provocatively at other large bulldogs on the road when we go out with us!
Therefore, he did not dare to let Brother Black Dog be alone with the lamb for too long.
If diseases are not mentioned, sheep are actually a very good animal to keep.
Just a password and a flock of sheep will follow you.
This is the advantage of raising goats over raising other animals.
Sheep also like to snuggle on the owner's body and act like a spoiled child!
The young sheep, who are weak and afraid of the cold, even had to sleep with my mother to avoid early death.
And they understand, the nicknames we give them.
Nicknames are of course based on their personality or physical characteristics!
Those who are born with defects in their feet are called "lame boys" (Taiwanese); and those who are completely white are called "white hair boys".
For example, as long as any one of our family members came to the sheep farm and shouted "lame boy", then it would overcome all difficulties, get through the flock of sheep, and force it to our side. and act.
But having said that, cuteness is cuteness, goodness is goodness, we raise goats after all, it is not fun to raise.
In business, when a certain day comes, we still have to select a few of these lovely and docile goats for the butcher to slaughter.
Sometimes the butcher will leave us the sheep's head and liver that we sent and slaughtered that day;
My father, who likes cooking more than my mother, and I will be in charge of the cooking.
Looking at the well-behaved sheep raised by myself with hardships and hardships, I left the sheep garden with us coquettishly in the morning;
Now at night, there is only a sheep's head that has been shaved and a pair of huge sheep's livers on the dining table...
Teach mom how she can eat?
How can the godmother see it?
On the contrary, Dad and I, the two meat-eating savages that Mom called "inhuman and unconscionable",
Still pick up the knife and cut the sheep's scalp, eat the mutton, and fry the mutton's liver.
At that time, my mother also refused to eat the lamb chops imported from New Zealand that I bought outside.
In fact, I can't bear to eat the baby I raised!
But just want to say:
Our own sheep raised with natural antibiotic-free feed have a taste that is not comparable to goats raised in large quantities with unknown feed outside!
And the internal organs of our sheep are safe, delicious and fresh!
Of course, such sacred ingredients cannot easily be left behind by outsiders. Besides…
Originally, they were what my mother wanted to feed!
Later, after several struggles, my mother decided to end her sideline business of raising sheep.
First, it is our down-to-earth, small-scale operation of the sheep farm.
It's hard to compete with someone else's corporate, mass-breeding large-scale sheep farms.
Second, she is a mother with a heart of tofu, who cannot bear the torment of sending the sheep who were brought up by her own hands and slept on their pillows to the guillotine.
The tears she has shed over the past two or three years for these sheep are more annoying than worrying about us,
And there are more tears shed because of watching the tragic drama on TV.
The third reason is that we are not very short of money, why do we need to go back and forth between the house and the sheep farm regardless of the weather?
As a result, the little sheep never came back to my house, only the wool that I occasionally picked up in the bathroom on the first floor reminded me of the days when people and sheep danced and slept together!

【postscript】:
In fact, later, my uncle, who had another job during the day, started to raise dozens of sheep and other poultry in the same place where my mother raised sheep, as a sideline.
It's just that he can't be busy sometimes.
Gudao's warm-hearted mother volunteered again,
I caught some lambs and goslings that my uncle was too late to take care of, and came back home to raise them.
So I have photos of them that I can show you.
Write here first, see you next time!
