Taipei's big vertical walk series to catch up with the progress, today I want to share the fourth section of the route, from the Fengguizui mountain pass to the Dahu Park MRT station.

From Fengguizui to Dahu Park MRT Station, it is almost all the way down , and there are many stone stairs in the second half, which is also a difficult section for me to go downhill. However, there is a natural trail in the middle, and because there are many trees shaded, even if the sun is still shady, it is very pleasant to walk.

Because the starting point is the Fengguizui climbing entrance, we continued the lazy method of the last time and took the "Xiaohuang" directly to the climbing entrance. The driver I met this time just called the price directly, so based on the experience of the two times, it can be confirmed that if you take Xiaohuang from the taxi hailing station at Shilin MRT Station, and go directly to the Fengguizui mountain entrance, the price is 450 yuan .

Although after reaching the Fengguizui climbing entrance, you still have to walk down the trail and return to the asphalt road, but because there is the first gem on this steep trail , you still have to start obediently from the Fengguizui climbing entrance. . If you are a friend who takes a minibus up the mountain, you still have to walk up the Fengguizui climbing entrance for the first gem, but you can consider walking up the trail to get the gem and then turn back to the road, or go up to the Fengguizui climbing entrance. , take the road down, but remember to start the mission immediately after getting off the bus!

After the steeply descending trail beside the Fengguizui mountaineering entrance, you have to walk a short section of the road slowly uphill to reach the mountaineering entrance of the Shuanggouxi Ancient Road. This trailhead is hidden behind a big rock, and it is easy to miss for first-time visitors and requires special attention.

The roads leading to "Plum Blossom Mountain" are almost all dirt roads, and most of them are gentle and easy to walk. Almost all Shuanggouxi Ancient Roads advance along the valley line, which is the depression in the mountain, so even if there are consecutive sunny days, the soil here is still slightly slippery and muddy . For safety reasons, it is recommended that the grip of the sole of the shoe be better. . The biggest advantage of the valley line is that it is cool , and there are streams in the first half, the breeze is gentle, and it is heaven under the scorching sun. As for the disadvantage, it should be the constantly buzzing mosquitoes . Because there are more trees that block the light, and the humidity is heavy and the sun is less, it is simply a paradise for mosquitoes. It can be guessed that the hotter the weather, the more terrible it will be. Fortunately, on the day we went, although there were mosquitoes, it was okay, not too scary 😆

Go along the trail, leave the stream and walk for a short distance, it will start to go uphill, and the indicator shows that you will lead to Plum Blossom Mountain. The triangle point of Meihua Mountain is also not very promising, you can just take a photo😆

Then continue along the original dirt trail, heading towards the inner lake. Most of the trails have indicators, but there are a few small forks without any guidance . We studied the map, and some fork roads will return to the main road no matter which one you take, but there are still a few that may take an extra circle if you go wrong. It is recommended that when encountering an uncertain fork in the road, you should check the offline map and track first, so as to avoid taking the wrong road!

After going through a long downhill staircase, you will see the "Bishan" sign. The trail that we pass through does not pass through the triangle point of Bishan. In order to avoid the lunch being dragged too late, we gave up climbing Bishan and continued to go down. In the middle of a slightly steep stone stair walk, you will encounter the " Daluntou Shanyou Club ", which is also the most suitable place for lunch so far.

Although the name has the word guild hall, it is actually a temporary resting place with seats and a canopy for good people. The day we went was a sunny day, it might be too hot to enter the building, so we chose to eat and rest under the canopy. There are no toilets or faucets here, just a place to sit and hide from the rain. However, there are a lot of mosquitoes here. Although I have sprayed some anti-mosquito liquid first, I still feel that the mosquitoes will not give up on me😅

After you finish your meal, take a short, steep upstairs, and the descent begins. During the process of the trail, you can go around the " Sweet Water Mandarin Duck Lake", which was really the habitat of Mandarin ducks in the early days. It was dry for 28 years in the middle, and it was not renovated until 1997 to 1999, and its water storage function was restored. However, in the current Tianshui Yuanyang Lake, I feel that the water quality is not clear. Only a pair of Yuanyang ducks were seen resting by the lake on the viewing platform. It is possible that the others are hiding from the sun?

Continue along the trail and you will enter the wishing trail. The next step is either the asphalt road or the stone stairs, which is very sad🥺

The Wishing Trail is actually well planned. Although I prefer the original section, there will always be people who need a planned artificial trail. Taking small children out for discharge, taking the elderly out for a walk, etc., may not be suitable for dirt roads, so I still have to thank the existence of artificial trails , even if I am crying while walking😅

Going further, you will reach the fork in the Baishihu Community. If you don't plan to go to see the " Tongxin Pond ", you can continue along the road, or you can go around the Baishi Lake community and enjoy the landscaping of the Tongxin Pond. You can buy a snack or a dessert by the Tongxin Pool. I was walking in June last year, and it was so hot that I was clamoring for egg ice when I passed by. Although it wasn't so hot this year, I still went to buy red bean cake ice cream for afternoon tea😆. If you know how to go, you can also pass through the Concentric Pool and follow the direction to get back to the road. It should be easy to find the route from the map. But if you are really unsure of how to go, it is recommended to go back and follow the direction of the trajectory.

Leave Tongxinchi and continue to the direction of "Yuanjue Waterfall". This is a series of asphalt roads and downhill stone steps, and after passing the "Yuanjue Temple", it feels like a never-ending stone staircase . Just looking at this description, you should be able to feel how much I dislike going down the stone stairs🤣

After finally hearing the sound of water, we finally arrived at " Yuanjue Waterfall ".

There are many tourists in Yuanjue Waterfall, but there are also many chairs to rest, plus the gurgling sound of the water, it is quite suitable for drinking water here for a daze. There are also many flower landscaping in the entire sightseeing area. It is very gentle and easy to walk from Dagouxi Water Park, which is quite suitable for the whole family to come together.

Along the Yuanjue Temple Trail, accompanied by streams along the way, bring back a little coolness, and go a little further to the end of the trip, " Dagouxi Water Park ". In fact, after passing the Yuanjue Waterfall, the last gem has been in the bag, but I always have to take the MRT to go home, so I still follow the route of the track to enter the Dagouxi Water Park. If you still have physical strength and time, the water park is really beautiful and suitable for walking around. You can also choose another time and travel with the whole family. After all, you can get there by MRT, and there are really not many places with large space and beauty.

In fact, normally it doesn’t take such a long time. The main reason is that we stopped from time to time to study the terrain, and repeatedly compared the paper map with the offline map. It took a lot of time to prolong the completion time. There was a beautiful partner in the same group. When studying the map, he was constantly concerned by enthusiastic passers-by, worried that we might be lost. At this time, I can only say that people are really good ? 😆
