I just received the bill this year, took a breath, and the same cost, which rose to 3,000 euros. It is expected that the gas fee (same cost) will exceed 4,500 euros by the end of the year

The annual cost of natural gas for a family of four was about 1,500 euros the previous year.

I just received the bill this year, took a breath, and the same cost, which rose to 3,000 euros.

In addition to being intimidated, check online to see if you can save some money with a new supplier. Unexpectedly, at present, the gas fee (same cost) will exceed 4,500 euros by the end of the year.

A friend and a couple have jobs.

Think of some elderly people on pensions. The government has announced a 5% increase in pensions this year. But definitely not as fast as energy (electricity and gas).

It is hoped that the life of the people of peace in the world will be restored.

*** A friend's dictation, I don't know if there is any suspicion of exaggeration.

The second paragraph of the article, the source of the wholesale price of natural gas is confirmed news

Wholesale natural gas prices hit a record.

The war in Ukraine exacerbates the situation in the gas market. Wholesale natural gas prices are at high levels.

Currently, the price of one MWh of natural gas is 105.45 euros (as of April 8, 2022). By comparison: in the same period last year, one MWh cost just 18 euros - an increase of 486%.

End-customer prices will not drop for the time being. Many suppliers and alternative suppliers have passed on the increased purchase price of electricity and natural gas to their customers.

Does it make sense to switch gas suppliers at the moment?

Gas suppliers are constantly recalculating prices due to the dynamics of the gas market. Many suppliers are grappling with continued price increases and have had to temporarily suspend offers to new customers due to incalculable risks.

How will natural gas prices develop in 2022?

In 2021, the cost of purchasing natural gas has risen sharply.

The invasion of Ukraine led to further price volatility. Due to the crisis, the development of prices remains unpredictable.

The Nord Stream 2 Baltic Pipeline, which was approved for decommissioning in February 2022, has also driven up wholesale gas prices.

If natural gas supplies remain similarly low and demand does not ease, wholesale gas prices could rise further.

The increase in the price of carbon dioxide to 30 euros per ton also contributed to the price increase.

During the 2021/2022 winter gas price explosion, more and more short-term gas supply contracts are signed, leading to stronger price volatility.
