PO A book challenge you bought recently | Encountering a book is fate and expectation
In response to the International Book Fair, the social networking site launched the #po a book challenge you bought recently . I also want to participate, but unfortunately my book...has not arrived yet ah ah ah ah. Finally, I received the book today, and I can share it with enthusiasm (moved).
What did you buy?
I bought writer Ha Jin's collection of essays "Night Talks on Lake Terrace"
Ha Jin, whose real name is Jin Xuefei. A Chinese living in the United States, his novels are mostly about politics, society, and immigration. But I just bought the book, I didn't read it at all, and I never read Ha Jin's work. So why choose it? It's because he listened to [Zhang Dachun's News] before, and he often invited Yan Zeya, the founder of Yayan Culture, to talk about books. However, this guest highly recommended Ha Jin, and was willing to spend four episodes of the program talking about Ha Jin, giving him a high evaluation, saying that he is very good at telling stories, and even reinterpreting the classic literature tribute in new ways. So listen, listen, I'm a fan. Yes, you can become a fan without reading it. When I saw the recently released self-signed new book, I placed the order without any hesitation. It can be said that I bought it and looked forward to it. I have the opportunity to share the book review again. In addition, I also want to read Ha Jin's "War Waste", but the Taiwan version of the book is not very user-friendly, the font is so small, and I can't wait for the remake. Reading it requires a little psychological preparation.
If you haven't read it, talk about what you're reading.
Natsuhiko Kyogoku's "The Box of Sprites" and Alice Munro's "Dear Life"
Let's talk about Jingji Xiayan first. I have read his "Book Building Hanging Hall" and "The Summer of Gu Huo Bird" before. I love and annoy this writer. His books often combine strange stories, history, reasoning, and philosophy. In particular, his Jingjitang series connects monsters and murders. The book cover design is also beautiful, and the whole is very attractive. But Jingji Xiayan loves hanging book bags very much, and there will be a long page in the book, like Seimei and Boya in "Onmyoji", there will be a philosophical debate. When I read "The Summer of Gu Huo Bird", I turned more than 80 pages and didn't get to the point. Painful for readers anxious to know how events unfold, and often inspired by lengthy conversations, paradoxical. This "Shadow of Sprites" is very thick, the two volumes are almost 800 pages together, I read it with both anticipation and fear.
I have a wonderful relationship with the writer Alice Munro. I have heard of her before, but I have not paid attention to her. It was not until I studied the Japanese drama "Home on the Slope" that I learned that there are several writers who are good at writing housewife literature, such as Japanese writers Kakuta Mitsuyo, Saito Shigero's "The Autumn Period of Wives" , and Alice Munro. Even when I watched the interview with Li Weijing, the author of "I Am Xu Liangliang", she also mentioned Alice Munro. Only then did I realize that I had read a lot of Alice Munro's materials, intentionally or unintentionally, and felt that I couldn't read it (laughs). However, the Alice Munro series of books are also very small in typesetting. She is the 2013 Nobel Prize winner for literature, so it should be worth promoting. I'm starting to wonder if publishers don't want to sell books anymore.
The above are my most recent books. In addition to the feeling after reading, the motivation for choosing the book is actually very interesting. Anyone who is interested is welcome to share. ^^
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
