[UK Daily] Rainy days let me heal myself

After more than a week of hot and stuffy weather, we finally ushered in the first recent rain last night. I thought this light rain would not last for too long, but it fell into the morning.

After putting on waterproof pants and a hoodie, I rode my bike to work. Because of the rain, there were obviously fewer people walking their dogs than usual, but there were still people walking in the rain with umbrellas. Along the path, many branches fell lower than usual because the leaves carried a lot of rain. Taking a deep breath, I feel the air is much cleaner than usual.

Along the way, drops of rain fell gently on his face. There was a burst of coolness, which also evoked the corners of my mouth.

I suddenly remembered that when I was in my hometown, I liked rainy days the most. Especially the taste of "it's going to rain". It was a faint, yet magical smell that always calmed my mind. It quietly revealed to me that a symphony of nature was about to unfold. I still remember when I was a kid, whenever it rained, I would run to the courtyard to touch the cool rain that dripped from the eaves, and watch it drip from my fingertips and palms to the back of my hands; sometimes I would squat down Watching the rain fall on the wet ground, forming small circles one after another, and then disappearing, no matter how you look at it, you can't get tired of it. There were even a few times when I stood in the rain to "shower", let the rain fall on me and soaked me, and then kicked the water up on the ground for fun.

Since coming to the UK, I've become less fond of rainy days. Oh no, not so much fond of rainy days, but less fond of rainy days in the UK.

What's the difference? Rain in the UK is mostly drizzle, sometimes so fine that it can float in the air like a spray. Although it doesn't feel anything, it can "drenched" you wet. I think I still love the unrestrained, big raindrops in my hometown, those "real guns and live ammunition"!

In other words, it rained pretty well this morning, not too big or not too small. In addition, the weather is warm and the temperature of the raindrops is just right, which made me very happy to be soaked in the rain this morning!

In fact, now that I think about it, I haven't felt the atmosphere of a rainy day for a long time. Maybe because the pace of life has become faster, everything will be considered inconvenient. Always afraid of getting wet, afraid of trouble, afraid of catching a cold, and hiding whenever possible. But I now feel that rainy days are actually an opportunity for self-healing, it allows me to slow down and open up all my senses so that I can learn to feel all kinds of beauty~
