Luna twelve
Luna twelve.
We drank red wine and ate boiling hot pot while listening to Luna's 12-year-old recorded songs, in English, Italian, and of course, the classic Chinese. The little girl is from Dongcheng District, Beijing, in the area of Chongwenmen, and has been singing for 5 years, so what we heard was the songs she recorded in the Huairou recording studio in Beijing. .
Singing is just one of her expressions. The whole family moved to Oxford last year, and life has changed a lot. She and her 7-year-old sister Tabby have some disagreements. For example, she is active in learning Chinese, and her sister hides when she can. She plays the role of half a teacher, not only practicing the piano with her sister, but also letting her sister read Chinese books. Obviously, her sister is impatient. It seems that she has not found an interesting way to make her like Chinese.
When asked about her understanding of cross-culturalism, she said that no matter what, she considers herself to be a product of Chinese. Britain has the British way, and Chinese has its beauty, especially poetry. It seems that the child's roots have already been solid, and this age is also a stage full of curiosity when facing the world. Luna's fun is to like to deal with people, to understand people's psychological activities, and to know the different ideas of different people. She asked a lot of questions curiously, and was a little worried that her Chinese would continue to weaken and eventually be assimilated here. My suggestion is that you enlarge your horizons and think of yourself as a person from the earth. Then no matter which country you live in in the future, you will just live in a different land. You don’t have to stick to the differences between countries. The important thing is to accept Different cultures look at the world from different perspectives, you will have multiple perspectives, and you will live more diversely.
We talked about Egypt after the war, sea turtles under the night in Lebanon, diving in the Red Sea, which she had never experienced before, full of curious eyes, and also talked about the birthplace of her father, Hunan, and the characteristics of the tyrannical people in Hunan. I understand, I asked a lot of why, the influence of geographical environment on the personality of local people and so on.
Generations of thoughts, visions, and feelings, as parents, what we can do is to take them to try different lives, experience different environments, there are conflicts, collisions, troubles, and joy after overcoming obstacles, and different things. The meaning of life brought about by the experience cannot stop thinking.
