"Hot Holidays" is a light comedy for the 2020 Chinese New Year of the Ox. It mainly tells three side stories that happened when three groups of guests arrived at the "True Love Resort" in Sanya during the Chinese New Year. Whether it is family affection, love, or friendship, dramatic changes have taken place here during the short Spring Festival. There are conflicts and misunderstandings, as well as commitments and growth. Under the healing of each other, this winter seems to be warmer. The whole play is not only a New Year's film full of festivities, but more like a promotional film for a Sanya Resort. While watching the meeting, you fantasize about your time on the island. In short, this is a humorous comedy suitable for the whole family to watch.

Branch 1: The agent of the royal sister meets the little fresh meat in the resort

Xu Yi (played by Yao Chen), a well-known star agent in the entertainment industry, brought her lover and artist Gao Junyu (played by Zheng Yunlong) to the resort to perform during the Chinese New Year. That night, she fell into the bottom of the most lost. It was also on this night that Hou Hao (Bai Yu), the all-around little fresh meat in the resort, broke into her life. During the period when Xueyi was in despair, apart from her best friend Tang Xuan (played by Gao Ye) who came from afar to accompany her to deal with Gao Junyu, it was mainly the warm man Hou Hao who tried his best to bring Xueyi to experience the beauty of Sanya. And help her out of the low tide. Thanks to the day-to-day getting along and the assistance of the resort staff, their relationship has also heated up rapidly, but everyone told them that the resort staff and the tourists just met by chance and had no future.

Branch 2: There are a bunch of three generations who have to pass the threshold

This family looks like a happy family, but in fact there are many problems, such as:

(1) Masked couples who have been divorced – Chen Binbin (played by Dong Chengpeng), Song Xiaoke (played by Zhang Jingchu)

(2) The relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law is eccentric to the point of contact – Dong Yanping (played by Chen Xiaoyi), Grandma Chen (played by Li Mingzhu)

(3) The second spring of a widowed mother and a father-daughter relationship with a big age difference – Yan Liwei (Hu Jun), Feng Suzhen (Zhang Tong), Chen Nuannuan (Kang Keren)

(4) The confidantes that father and son are entangled with – Chen Linchun (Xie Yuan), Pan Jiner (Chen Zhixi), Chen Binbin, Tang Xuan

The funniest thing is that when the people of this family encounter the immediate difficulties, they always shout together, "We have to get over this threshold together", but after this threshold, the following problems will come oncoming. In fact, they will encounter so many setbacks. In addition to not realizing their own problems, they always keep their true feelings in their hearts. Naturally, under various misunderstandings, frictions will also arise.

Although this family has the most misunderstandings and can lead to quarrels, it is also a side story with the most jokes. All kinds of absurd things are encountered by them, so it is also my favorite side story.

Branch 3: The derelict anti-epidemic hero father and the rebellious girl

Doctor Wen Yang (played by Chu Shuanzhong), a single parent who is an anti-epidemic medical staff, and his daughter Wen Ruonan (played by Lan Xiya) were invited to the "True Love Resort" for a vacation. Nan Nan always blamed his father for the death of his mother. There is a lot of incomprehension towards Dr. Wen, who originally took this vacation as the beginning of a reconciliation between the two parties, but blind fatherly love seems to have been hitting a wall. Nan Nan, who was in her puberty, became particularly rebellious because of the neglect of her parents. In order not to be bullied and look strong, she became armed like a hedgehog. Zhou Tong (played by Tu Ling), a cleanliness nurse who accidentally shared a room with Nan Nan because of gender separation, became a bridge of communication in this unfamiliar father-daughter relationship, which gradually melted the two big icebergs.

To sum up, the beginning of "Hot Holidays" is humorous and generous, but the second half is a little too protracted, and emergencies are one by one, and the last part is a little weak. Another part that I don't like very much is that there are too many pictures of memories, and the repetition is quite high. If you put a few pictures of memories, you shouldn't have to play until 45 episodes. But as a Lunar New Year movie (or a resort marketing movie), it must be said that the script, lines and scenes are all well done. After watching it, you will really think of a vacation in Sanya, and the ending of the final episode is similar Bollywood's singing and dancing pomp is just one sentence: "It's quite festive!"
