Day 3: Written Exam & Marine Course | AIDA 2 Self-Dive Course Experience
In addition to the exam on the last day, because we were all stuck the next day, the instructor still asked us to practice rope climbing and bowing. There is a little implementation of the rescue process on the water, how to stabilize the person after pulling the person to the surface for follow-up actions.
written examination
In the part of the written test, the test paper has various question types, single-choice, multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank. However, as long as you listen carefully to the course on the first day, and then practice the last review of each chapter in the textbook the day before, there should be no big problem. The scores for the test papers are very loose, so please answer as much as you can.
Bow Down & Rope Infinite Loop
Because we were all stuck on the second day, we continued to practice rope climbing and bowing and diving on the third day, and then helped us to correct our movements. After all, we couldn’t even go down 10 meters, and it was impossible to test any bows. Dive 16 meters.
If you are stuck like us, don't be too impatient. You should seize this time to practice and feel the process of balancing ear pressure. It is very precious to have a coach when you can ask. After the second day, we were all very used to the feeling of being at sea, so we practiced very seriously. Some people made rapid progress, and they were able to climb the rope to the end on the third day.
rescue
After an infinite loop of bowed dives and rope climbs, the instructor had, by the end of the session, let us actually experience how difficult it is to stabilize an unconscious person at sea. My own leg strength is weak, and I inadvertently use the strength of my hips or waist when kicking. I don’t feel any problem when I kick myself, but when I support someone, the weight increases, and the problem appears. :
I keep spinning in the sea when I hold my buddy for a stand-up kick....
Later, I was invited by a friend to practice on the weekend. I found that I was used to using the right foot as the main force, and the left foot had no relative strength check and balance, and the whole person would continue to rotate when the core was not stable. The coach also said that my habit of kicking fins when diving needs to be adjusted. It will be strong and weak, but it should be a continuous and stable intensity.
I tried to stabilize the core and then deliberately controlled the left foot to kick a little more vigorously, and then I could hold the person upright and kick without spinning... But I soon got cramps, and it really lacked exercise.
postscript
The sharing of the class process is probably here.
I feel that from the practice of holding my breath before class to going to the sea during the class, this process is more like a process of exploring my body and mind or having a dialogue with my body and mind. When your body says, "Exhale me!", you have to convince yourself, "Wait a second, you'll be fine"; you need to be able to drop your emotions and go into a relaxed state at any time, even in the position you just dived in. What an idiot, or how bad that flattening was just now.
It's probably going to be a lot of practice after that.
The feeling of being in the water is really great. Even if it is like the Longdong Bay, where the class is located, although the visibility is not very high, even if you feel that you are coming up within ten seconds after diving, you can still see a lot of things. In the beautiful underwater world, you will hope that you can see more when you stay in the water longer. If you stay in the water for a longer time, all actions must be more accurate and efficient, and you will hope that you can enter a relaxed state all the time.
Although any pressure in the sea will be magnified, but after getting used to it, it is really comfortable, especially when you go back to the sea after diving below, the few seconds when the sea brings you up, you really only have the sea and light in your heart. with yourself.
And what I think is the most difficult is going to the toilet in the sea. I still can't figure it out on the last day of class. It's more difficult than what Franco does (X).
