Luxor is located in the present-day Luxor province of Egypt. It used to be the scope of Upper Egypt, but for today's Egypt, this place is a relatively conservative and backward place, rich in sugar cane. After drinking the freshly squeezed sugarcane juice invited by the tour guide in Luxor, the taste buds suddenly tasted an unprecedented full sugarcane taste.

The Luxor Temple on the east bank of Luxor was built for Mut, and asked Amon to find his wife to celebrate the Opit Festival, so the murals recorded the records of Amon and Mut's festival at that time, and the festival started from the original ten. One day has been slowly increased to twenty-seven days, and the ancient Egyptians were also quite able to enjoy instant pleasure.

The temple has undergone repairs and expansions in different periods according to the status of the ruler. The temple of Luxor also includes the construction history from the Twelfth Dynasty to Alexander the Great.

The best part is that there is a mosque in the temple, and that mosque also has a history of seven or eight hundred years. The innermost part of the temple is the sanctuary named after Alexander the Great.

Thinking about it, the rulers of Egypt are really interesting. In order to win the trust of the local people, they will build buildings that the local people like or believe in their religion according to the local beliefs and customs. And they will destroy things (statues, buildings, or names) left by previous people, in order to make people forget that there was a certain pharaoh.

But as time went on, the later rulers wanted to use their own style more and more, so in some temples, you will also see frescoes or statues in Greco-Roman style. After all, I want to leave a proof of my existence.

The towering colonnade is decorated with papyrus representing Upper Egypt and lotus representing Lower Egypt, symbolizing the pharaoh's rule over Upper and Lower Egypt. Walking in the colonnade was immersive, and then I understood where the respect of the building came from. Only then did I understand why the rulers built tall buildings, like the Presidential Palace on Ketagalan Avenue.

Of course, this is also one of the many temples and statues left by Ramses II, the most well-known ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Through the frescoes on the building, he announced to future generations his great achievements and the orthodoxy and divinity of his succession to the pharaoh throne.

The most impressive thing about the Temple of Luxor is the two obelisks at the entrance. The statues, statues and colonnades are all designed in pairs and symmetrical, and the other obelisk is now in the Place de la Concorde.

Except for the obelisk that is absent, which we can now see in the Place de la Concorde, what remains or disappears in the temple can only be conjectured and cherished, allowing us to connect with the historical trajectory they carry.
