Those pondering short stories: public housing transom

When I was a child, I lived in an old-style public housing estate. There was an exhaust window next to the door near the ceiling. My bed was placed against the transom. The bed was overhead, with a desk and wardrobe below.

One night, I was studying at home by myself as usual, and my parents had not yet got off work. Suddenly, someone slapped the wooden door of my house vigorously.

The public housing estates are not very safe. My mother once warned me not to open the door to strangers indiscriminately.

Originally, I could completely ignore the people outside, because my parents have door keys, they would never knock on the door, but the people outside really patted the door for too long, and I was really curious.

Since my wooden door has no anti-theft eyes, I had to climb onto the bed and look out through the transom.

When I climbed up the wooden ladder, I was taken aback by the situation in front of me, and I fell down through the air, my feet swollen a lot.

Because outside the transom, a man was staring at me with wide eyes and said to me, "Open the door!"

Who would be tall enough to look in through a transom outside? Not even an adult!

I stared at my injured foot and sat on the ground. The slamming of the door from outside continued. After a long time, I heard the voice of my father talking to a man. Then my father opened the door with the key and said, "The power company The staff came for emergency repairs, why didn't you open the door?"

At this moment, I saw the man just behind my father, who was carrying a wooden ladder.

Only then did my father look at me and ask, "What are you doing sitting on the ground?"

"I..." I was about to answer when I saw the man suddenly give a weird smile. He took the knife out of his pocket and stabbed it straight into his father's back.

He said, "Hee hee, Let's play a game!"

It is difficult to create in Hong Kong, but I still chose this path. I hope you can like me below, which will become my motivation and financial support.
