New to Matters, this is my way of getting involved in the future
Every era has its own opportunities for the people of that era.
The past generation X is now the Internet aborigines, or the post-00s in the mainland. Each generation has its own label.
Growing up in Taiwan, my generation is referred to as 7th graders (age was accidentally revealed). It should be regarded as an era of turbulence, but it is also an era of development.
When I was in high school, I experienced the Internet and mobile phones that began to enter everyone's life. At that time, it was still the era of dial-up. When you wake up at night to stealthily play Century Empire and Xinghai Hegemony, you still need to cover the sound of the modem with the quilt, for fear of being discovered by your parents. I remember that the most popular website in Taiwan at that time should be Kimo (which should not have been acquired by Yahoo), but my classmate introduced me to a magical website called Google, which can only be used in search. 10 years later, he's in everyone's browser window.
I remember that the iPhone appeared later, which brought a wave of mobile Internet upsurge. Some individuals developed games, and there were also various APP applications. It was a wonderful time for the Internet. From simple games, to games that each look like a big production, everyone's life has changed differently.
Telecom information is no longer needed, because you can send information for free, and more interestingly, there are stickers. Talking on the phone, you no longer need to pay for the phone, because through the Internet and the APP, you can make a voice call. When it comes to ordering takeout slowly, you no longer need a phone, and even buying things you don’t need to click a mouse in front of a computer. A mobile phone can accomplish a lot of things.
Of course, instead, ophthalmology clinics and eye care products should have business opportunities.
Fortunately, in the era of mobile Internet, I entered the world of online entrepreneurship, and because of this, I met many interesting friends. Of course, there were friends who were doing blockchain projects at the time.
Generational opportunities are missed, but opportunities always come in different forms.
This time, I want to participate in the future from another angle.
The best way to get in touch with the future is to participate in the present progressive tense of the future.
I hope that in Matters, I can meet friends who like Web3.0 or blockchain and other fields.
