HJ's critical reflection | Four sentences that are no longer simple
a complaint called thinking
The motivation for writing this article came from my observation of the academic circle. After chatting with friends, I discovered that these conditions are not only applicable in academic situations , but also seem to be applicable everywhere . So, going to write an article thinking about ( complaining about ) these hypocritical situations.
As a hard-working graduate student, the author has seen all kinds of false praises and hypocrisy in the academic circle, which are usually related to professional viewpoints. Therefore, I plan to write another article in the future, specifically to criticize these phenomena in the academic circle, and hope to further point out the points that can be reflected on.
( To put it bluntly, isn't it just complaining? )
four sentences
I believe there must be more than these four sentences in real life. The following is just a list of various scenes that I have observed in my daily life recently, which I can no longer take lightly , and face them with a simple and kind heart , sometimes even asking Notice what the " overtones " these hypocrites are hiding behind these words .
1. You are very enthusiastic!
I still remember the occasion when I received this evaluation. It was the first time I reported my research content in class, and my classmates kept talking to me after class. He said that when I reported my research views, I could be said to be one of the most enthusiastic and enthusiastic speakers he had ever seen.
I brought up the topic right now, because rather than a speech-like reporting attitude, I expected him to discuss with me the content of the report. It turned out that when I discussed many key issues with him, that is, issues that had to be expressed, he I am always humble enough to think that I am not capable of dealing with these problems , and I am not asking in depth at the moment.
After thinking about it for a long time, I found out that maybe (probably so, I'm not sure) he just didn't agree with my point of view, so he had to shift his focus and choose not to conflict with me directly.
However, do we become more and more grown up, but become unable to discuss matters?
I don't know what this classmate's real thoughts are, it needs to be discussed later. But I only know that in the future, when I hear others praise me like this, I will become more and more unable to accept the affirmation of others calmly. I will think that this is a crooked saying : You are too excited to speak .
Why ? Keep reading to find out.
2. You are very thoughtful!
I believe that many Matt citizens can understand this sentence, which can no longer be viewed simply. In fact, when someone says that you are very thoughtful, you must pay attention to multiple factors such as the occasion, the relationship between the two parties, and the personality of the speaker.
Otherwise, many times—perhaps in social situations and in the workplace—we actually need to pay more attention: the meaning behind this sentence is actually to say that " you have a lot of opinions " is correct.
In the same way, it can indeed be said that I think too much, and there is no malice at all, why should I be like this?
But again, as I said earlier, this concern is not limited to people who think too much, but whether each of us is willing to admit that we are not so rational and reject the possibility of pretending or hypocrisy .
3. This is very interesting!
The difference between this sentence and the compliment of the previous sentence "It's very thoughtful!" is that one is in terms of "quantity" (a lot of ideas, many ideas) and the other is in terms of "quality" (interesting ideas, unique viewpoints).
These two sentences that cannot be viewed with a pure attitude are actually "the same thing", and the translated version of this sentence is the sentence " What are you talking about ?" Hidden behind the scenes.
4. Make an appointment next time!
This sentence should be very common among everyone. The synonym "Date again!" is actually the abbreviation of "Never make another appointment ! " In order to maintain a relationship that is still known or called " friend ", we say out this sentence.
We learn how to be hypocritical as we grow up, and perhaps the way of being a person (or doing things) isn't that complicated at all - like a harem of Zhen Huan.
If you ask me what is the solution? I'll tell you, I don't actually know what to do . Taking a step back, what would the most likely answer be?
I think it's just going on in Matt City , practicing to be a more honest person in words .
disgusting face
After graduating from university, I went to graduate school. Strictly speaking, I was still a student. Therefore, I should be less likely to encounter the so-called "dark side of society", right? It seems that my life can still be faced with a pure and kind heart, right ?
I'm sorry , as a graduate student I'll tell you : this is a lie .
I also don't quite understand why many elders or seniors in the workplace like to use the phrase "student mentality" to attack others. Perhaps, for them, the speech has become false, and their dissatisfaction is packaged with words that seem to praise others, even if it is a criticism of the wrong person, as long as the speech becomes " obscure ", it seems to be the attitude of " the least student " .
For those who can only criticize others ' " student mentality " as their only source of sense of achievement , these "experienced" seniors or expats will write another article to criticize them next time .
Finally, I raise a question and invite every citizen who sees Matt here to think. I will write another article when I have time to express my attitude towards this issue: the so-called growing up and maturity is really becoming more talkative Are you trying to cover up your innermost thoughts ?
( I really don't know how many holes I dug for myself )
Like my work? Don't forget to support and clap, let me know that you are with me on the road of creation. Keep this enthusiasm together!
