Hello everyone, welcome to Renyi DreamWorks. The movie we're going to watch today is Palm Springs. This film uses the time loop as its selling point, and presents a lot of interesting plots and topics, so the author's impression of it is: not bad!

The movie did a better job than expected in terms of creating a worldview and setting the story. Although the early part of the plot is a standard love movie, there are always clues between the words of the protagonist Nyles, suggesting that he has reincarnated N times on November 9th. After Sarah joined him, the two used their unlimited time to challenge all kinds of crazy activities, experiment with different forms and objects of sexuality, and even read the physics and theories of time travel. However, repeated reincarnation is not without cost. Characters start to forget their own lives, their families, and their concept of time, and everything that happens in the world of reincarnation becomes meaningless because tomorrow is the beginning of the same day. Is such a life a life, or is it just a soul-like conscious existence? Although some of the topics have only been touched on lightly, the characters' discussions on them are quite interesting. On the other hand, the plot of this movie is interspersed with a lot of jokes, but most of them are jokes caused by embarrassing scenes. Personally... I am not very fond of this set.

What I admire most about this play is the attitude of each character to the cycle time. Nyles reincarnated thousands of times, and even though he was reluctant at first, he gradually enjoyed this life, and was even afraid to break out of this pattern. Sarah actually had a similar idea, but gradually realized that she had to get out of this predicament. However, I personally hope to see more of her longing or nostalgia for "tomorrow", because as Nyles said, since the world of reincarnation is so colorful, and the reality may be full of pain, why leave? The movie really doesn't paint much of the contrast between Sarah's reality and her reincarnation life, nor does it see if she struggled intensely. Roy, played by JK Simmons, has many regrets due to the reincarnation of time, but even if he uses all means to get revenge on Nyles, he can't change the status quo. He can only accept it and live a dull life. Three characters, in the same situation, lead to different outcomes and choices, this is the ingenious part of the movie.

In conclusion, this film is quite balanced in terms of entertainment and conveying information, and with the attractive themes and themes, it should be able to satisfy the tastes of most audiences. If one day you are trapped in the reincarnation space of time, will you desperately find a way to escape, or will you try your best to take advantage of the infinite rebirth opportunities and live in the moment?
