[Film Review] "Xinglin Hospital", leave your imagination in the legend!
1. "Xinglin Hospital" was originally supposed to be very attractive. As long as the haunted places in Taiwan are mentioned, Xinglin Hospital is definitely one of them. To briefly explain, it was grandly opened in 1975. Who knows that the scenery is short-lived, and it was destroyed in just 16 years. The company was ordered to suspend business after falsifying medical records, issuing false certificates, and fraudulently obtaining insurance fees. After the closure of Xinglin Hospital, many plans came to an end without success. During this period, many people negotiated the acquisition, but it was also announced that the situation was broken due to issues such as price. Until 2018, some people were willing to buy it. It is said that the price of the whole building is as high as 250 million. Xinglin Hospital has long been a haunted house, and many medical equipment has been left in the hospital, and the sense of mystery is increasing year by year.
2. "Xinglin Hospital" recruited Lin Bohong and Taibao to play the father and son of Taoist priests, Zhu Zhiying served as a nurse who committed suicide due to pressure while serving in Xinglin Hospital, supermodel Hong Yihui played the queen of ghosts who set herself on fire, and model Xu Liqi came to play the heroine. in charge. Personally, I think that apart from Lin Bohong, Taibao and Zhu Zhiying, the acting skills of Xu Liqi and Hong Yihui are so embarrassing that they can't bear to look directly at them. Their first performances are inevitably unfamiliar and their acting skills are inevitably jerky. to no avail. Aside from the acting skills, I think editing is the fault of this kind of department. It can only be described as messy and broken. Compared with the campus ghost story "The Bridge of Female Ghosts" or the folklore "The Little Girl in Red", "Xinglin Hospital" makes People shook their heads, only to feel that it was a pity. Originally, this subject had many imaginations, but it was shot in such a mess. The director constructed a fictitious fact. The reason for the haunting came from a mother who couldn't accept the death of her son and set herself on fire in the hospital. I don't think there is any problem with this setting. It can even make the audience feel the love between mother and son. The medical staff were all under pressure due to their contradictory positions, and these became the fuse of the whole incident. As for the choreography, it's alright, revolving around the longing for relatives and the resentment of Xinglin Hospital whether it's a person or a ghost, the above all means that the setting and choreography give the film a solid structure, but it still lost to the editing.
3. Plot outline:
In order to meet their beloved relatives, they decided to observe Luoyin at the place where the two relatives passed away, "Xinglin Hospital". This place itself is yin. In an angry place, of course, there will be a situation of "out of control". The process seems to be smooth, allowing the two women to meet their love, and it is not unexpected to attract the female ghost king who burns herself. A woman died because of this, the heroine and the son of the Taoist priest continued to stay in the hospital, just because the heroine hadn't seen her husband (what is she insisting on?), anyway, the process is not very important, and it seems that they escaped smoothly in the end But they are all fantasy and old-fashioned endings. I think they are all acceptable, but in the end, a female ghost in red came inexplicably, completely deviating from the initial setting. She was a passerby, but she seemed to be the existence of the last devil, and even more. What makes people angry is that it ends with a female ghost in red walking down the corridor and a close-up shot of a JUMP SCARE???
Seriously it's amazing!
4. Let’s talk about what happened to the clip
The first: To explain the past of each actor, we must rely on the method of intertwining the past and the present. Seriously, there are not many stories. The Taoist father and son, the heroine and her husband, another woman and her beloved sister, the ghost king's pain of losing a child , basically these four story lines, because of editing problems, the interlacing of everyone's stories has become very confusing.
Second: There are all kinds of ghosts hitting the wall in the plot and scenes, constantly jumping off the building, constantly going upstairs and downstairs, and the whole line seems to revolve around "I haven't found my husband yet", maybe it's good luck, at least on the stairs Being attacked by the ghost king, the tension of the dilemma is not bad.
Third: There is a section in which Lin Bohong takes Xu Liqi through the illusion set by the ghost king, letting them walk in a sea of fire full of ghosts. The props used by the ghosts are very poor, and it looks like the special effects and props used 20 years ago. In the immature era, it was so rough that it made people play, I rarely opened my eyes to see what the ghosts in ghost movies looked like, not to mention that I was sitting in the cinema today watching the huge screen, I can even do well in this movie Judgment: Ah! The section of the head is really rough, and the eyeball looks like a plastic eyeball, hello? What is the standard of this film?
This is really a waste of the theme of "Xinglin Hospital". Its topicality and popularity are so huge, it will definitely attract a lot of audiences (including me....), I rarely comment on a bad movie, but this one Undoubtedly one of the worst.
This is my first time writing a film review. If there is something that is not smooth or not very good, please give me some advice~
