Miaoli Taichung Travel Notes

📍The first stop - Shengxing Station & Longteng Broken Bridge

I visited a few years ago, when the "Old Mountain Line Train" was under construction, this time, the train has already started operating~

The small train departs from Shengxing Station, passes through the tunnel, and runs on the same level as the Longteng Broken Bridge with an excellent perspective. This is a close-up of the peculiar landscape caused by the earthquake.

The old street outside Shengxing Station has a strong Hakka flavor, and there are many food stalls, and I like the stinky tofu sold by Bicycle Abei and the artful bean curd braised food stall, which are very suitable for my appetite.

📍Second stop - Picking Star Villa

The quaint building is now a city monument in Taichung. It is beautiful no matter how you take it.

Recently, some cultural and creative stores have also entered and opened stores directly in the building. The key point is that you can use tickets to pay for consumption 😆😆😆 But I really feel it~

📍The third stop - Yizhong Street Night Market

Mainly because our family likes a skewer restaurant in the night market, and we must eat it every time we come to Taichung

📍The fifth stop - Rainbow Village

All I can say is it's amazing! Bright colors + strong artistic sense, it looks good no matter how you shoot

The story behind it is also very powerful. At first, the military dependents' village was about to be demolished. A grandfather who came to power after the war had a whim and started painting the walls of the military dependents' village with paint. The military dependents' village that was painted by grandpa is very distinctive and valuable, so in the end the military dependents' village was preserved.

📍Sixth stop - Miyahara Ophthalmology Ice Cream

The hot summer is the most suitable for ice cream balls~
