New scam! DiorTW is not the official website of Dior! Beware of scam text messages: "Dior points will expire soon"
Dior Scam Newsletter
Recently, many people have asked about the two websites DiorTW and Diorbt on the Internet.
After our search, we found that it was from such a text message:
Balance reminder: For users with a tail number of 7452, your accumulated 13022 points will expire on June 10, please check hxxp://diortw[.]com/ to redeem your goods
Dior Newsletter Doubts
1. Phone number "+886"
As long as you see a " + " at the beginning of the phone number, it means that this is an overseas call . Unless this is someone you already know and the other person is abroad, 99% of such text messages are scams
And this indicator can not only be used to judge SMS fraud, but also can be used in phone fraud, especially in the " online shopping operation error " phone fraud, which often falsely claims that you made a mistake during the shopping process, causing the deduction to become an installment Such nonsense, and will ask you to confirm the bank's contact number on the back of the credit card, and then the fraudulent group will call you with a phone number that looks exactly the same as the bank, making you think it's really a bank, but it's not! At this time, just check if there is a "+" at the beginning of the phone call.
2. Use simplified Chinese characters for text messages
Many scam text messages or emails are translated from other languages, so some words may be missed during the conversion process, or the problem of accidental translation into simplified
Do you see where the simplified characters are in this text? There is one!
3. The URL does not have an SSL certificate
Before clicking on the website, you may not be sure what website it is, or the website is very similar to Dior's official website, so you cannot judge whether it is a genuine official website through the domain name.
But this URL has an obvious danger indicator, which is http . Why does it seem that it is risky? :
SSL certificate usually means that this is a more trustworthy e-commerce company. Generally, personal websites or blogs do not attach much importance to SSL, but corporate image websites and e-commerce websites must be used.
The easiest way to check whether there is a web page encryption (SSL) certificate for a website is to see whether the beginning of the website is http or https . If it is https, it means that there is an SSL certificate , if not, it will only be http.
One-page scam: Dior Exchange Mall
In the past, the most one-page scams we have seen are used for shopping. Although this website looks like an exchange mall, it is actually a variant of a one-page shopping website.
Dior exchange mall doubts
1. The URL does not have SSL
This part has already been mentioned above, so I won't go into details here. Simply put, if the URL is http instead of https, be careful!
2. Goods are cheap
Everything on this website seems to be available for purchase using redemption points to increase the price. For genuine Dior products, this price certainly looks very attractive.
But in fact, this is the same concept as one-page shopping scams. It is to use ultra-low prices to make people feel that this is a bargain, so you might as well give it a try.
3. Points falling from the sky
Some people on PTT said that they had never bought Dior products, but they received this text message, and some villagers left a message directly saying that it was a coincidence that his points were exactly the same
Please pay attention~ There is no free lunch under the sky, and there will be no Dior points that fall from the sky
4. Redemption countdown
" Countdown " has always been a sign of fraudulent websites. Frauds like to use countdowns to make people feel that time is pressing and make a decision quickly. Then people see that the price is very cheap, and it is easy for people to lose their ability to judge and directly brainstorm. placed an order
5. The website was established for too short time
This self-proclaimed Dior newsletter appeared about three days ago, on 6/6, and the WHOIS records show that the website of diortw[.]com was also created on 6/6.
The establishment time of the website is too short to be Dior's official website. And since this exchange mall has just been established, how could it have accumulated more than 10,000 exchange points all at once!
