My 10 Favorite Songs: English Songs
After I recommended Chinese songs in the previous article, I will continue to share my 10 favorite English songs today. Also ranked in no particular order. I found that most of the Chinese songs I like are soft and sad, while English songs are more lively and joyful with a rock-and-roll style.
Lost star - Adam Levine
This is the theme song of the movie "Manhattan Etude". In fact, I have never understood this movie very well, but I really like the version of this song sung by Adam~
I'm yours - Jason Mraz
It's another song that I've been listening to for many years, and it can be said that it's the first English song I fell in love with. Every time I listen to it, I always feel happy and small.
Let her go -Passenger
A simple but sad song, it is said that people always know how to cherish when they are lost. The lyrics have a lot of contrast and the singer's voice is vicissitudes and magnetic.
Superheros - The Script
A song with very inspirational lyrics, saying that the process of success always requires hard work and perseverance. I don't know why I always think of my dad when I listen to this song. Maybe he thinks that he has worked hard for the family, or maybe because the song is called Superman, it is easier to think of him as a father.
Can't help falling in love with you - Hely Reinhart
Once I watched a movie wedding scene, and this song was played. At that time, I felt that this song is not only beautiful, but it is very suitable for weddings! Hope it will be played at my wedding in the future XD
Note n word - One ok rock
Introduced by my brother before, this is a song by a Japanese group. As a Japanese, I think their English is quite standard. This song expresses a relatively deep love, and the lyrics are also well written.
Sofia - Alvaro Soler
Strictly speaking it's not actually an English song, it's Spanish. When I was at work, my colleague introduced it. It was one of the few songs that I fell in love with the first time I heard it~ The melody is very cheerful, and the singer is super handsome! I have learned to sing.
All of me - John Legend
This song was introduced by my English teacher when I was in middle school. It was used as an English vocabulary tutorial, and it was also one of my early English songs. I love its romantic lyrics.
Heathen - Twenty one pilots
This is the theme song of the movie "Suicide Squad", which belongs to the dark style, with a dangerous and cool feeling.
Lost boy - Ruth B
This song appealed to me because I really liked Peter Pan's story. This is a song that takes you away from reality like Peter Pan and only dreams.
For friends who want to learn English, listening to English songs is a very good choice. You can learn a lot of new words, but learning pronunciation is not recommended.
