"After the closure of the city, online shopping will be reduced by half within a minute. Raw and fresh ones will be gone for a second, which is a hundred times more difficult than the Shanghai brand. The current situation is that you can grab it as soon as you can. Luckily, most of them are not available.”

Shanghai has been closed for nearly two weeks, and all kinds of photos and articles have gone viral on WeChat and Weibo. Some people put empty refrigerators on the terrace to complain that there is not enough food and supplies; some people publish distress articles saying that the elderly have no way to seek medical treatment; some videos show pet dogs being beaten to death by epidemic prevention personnel, and some news points out that volunteers in some areas are three. Wearing the same protective suit every day...

In the dire straits, the people of Shanghai have only one wish: "Unblock."

Gu Honghui, director of the Shanghai Epidemic Prevention and Control Leading Group Office, announced yesterday (11th) that the first batch of district epidemic prevention lists have been delineated, of which there are seven, five or sixty-five "prevention areas". The author chatted with Biscuit (pseudonym), a resident of the "final circle" community in Puxi, Shanghai last week. The author organizes the text dialogue into first-person confessions and organizes them in sections, putting together a puzzle for the situation of the lockdown.

1. Unexpected lockdown

I am Biscuit, living in the "final circle" in Puxi.

The epidemic in Shanghai began to appear in a chain of transmission around March. At that time, I did not expect a major outbreak; I felt that it would be cleared up in two weeks at most. When the number of digits began, I began to feel that there would be a crisis. Personally, I am not afraid of the epidemic. What I am afraid of is the unknown brought about by the epidemic, such as control measures and so on.

On March 27, when Puxi and Pudong were announced to be closed, I started to feel that something was wrong. More than a week ago, there were also rumors that Shanghai would be banned, and everyone took it as a joke. That night, everyone joked about it, because Shanghai has always been very precise in prevention and control. Most of the cases came from staff near the airport. Generally, the relevant communities were closed for 14 days, and so many places have never been closed until needed. Lock down the city.

When the lockdown was announced, everyone was shocked. The order of life has never been disrupted since the summer of 2020. As a Shanghainese, I never thought that Shanghai would be closed down.

2. Preventing "stocking up" before it happens

Where I live was not closed until April 1st. However, since mid-March, there have been more and more closed communities, so many colleagues are unable to go to work, and I can no longer work normally. At that time, I started to hoard vegetables consciously, and I felt that it was my turn to say something wrong. I have a family of three, only a bunch of children, and I have been hoarding things, and I will prevent them from happening.

After the news was announced, my husband and I went through all the inventory in the house and confirmed that there was something missing. Begin refilling the next day. Puxi is closed a few days later than Pudong, so we have some time to stock up on meat, frozen food, milk, eggs, vegetables, and also buy more long-lived ones, such as cabbage and cabbage. fruit.

Our grandparents are still living, very old people. They used to have a shortage of medicines because of the lockdown, but they solved the problem with the help of people in the community to prescribe three months' worth of medicines. They are all in their 90s. Fortunately, they all live with an elder, not alone. Even if someone takes care of them, they can still use WeChat to report safety, although they are all in good health. But I am very worried that the closure will continue. If something happens, everyone has limited ability and there is no way to take care of it.

3. The most chaotic message is the fear that "there is no bottom" will continue to be sealed

During the lockdown period, we will receive official notification in advance and tell us that there are close contacts in the building, or that they will turn positive again. These are usually notified to us by the staff of the neighborhood committee in the building group, and then the Shanghai government continued to announce the confirmed case about three days later.

However, apart from confirmed cases, all kinds of messy information is received every day. There are rumors on the Internet that some people are selling temporary passes for epidemic prevention and protection in Shanghai. I have seen it, but I also saw the rumors later. I have also heard from friends that there are some residential areas in the urban area that do not have property, the management is relatively chaotic, and some residents may go out.

The closure of the city this time has disrupted daily life, not to mention the fact that my friend has been blocked for a month in the community where he lives. Can only rely on the owner to save themselves, group food. Nucleic acid is done to be numb, but I don't know why there are always new cases. I've been locked at home for a week, and I've been affected by negative news on the Internet every day, and I don't know when it will be unblocked... So this week I started to grab food again, wanting my children to eat fresh things, milk, eggs, etc. I have to stock up again, but the biggest problem may be that I don’t know when the lockdown will end, and I don’t know how much to stock up…

4. Online food battles are a hundred times more difficult than Shanghai cards (Note 1)

We have done many tests. Nucleic acid test on April 1, antigen rapid screening test on April 2, nucleic acid test on April 4, antigen rapid screening test on April 6, and antigen rapid screening test on April 7. Nucleic acids are provided by medical staff, and antigens are made by volunteers who distribute quick screening kits to their homes. After taking pictures and uploading them to the building group, if the antigen is positive, the administrator of the neighborhood committee should be notified.

Although we will also receive materials distributed by the government, the timing and content of materials distributed by each district are very different, so we do not know when we will receive them on time. We probably received the first batch of supplies on the second day after Puxi was closed, and then the second batch on the fourth day. I learned about my friend's situation, some earlier than me, some later than me. There are also only one batch, and the materials are also very different.

The biscuits (pseudonym) were distributed to the first and second time.

Therefore, everyone has to go to group buying or online shopping. All online purchases are delivered on the same day, and group purchases may arrive in a few days.

However, it is very difficult to buy food online, and the longer the closure period, the more difficult it is. Many electronic and commodity platforms are closed. Usually, the shopping cart contains 500 yuan of things, and it will be reduced by half within one minute of opening. There is no raw or fresh one for a second, which is a hundred times more difficult than shooting Shanghai cards. The current situation is that you can grab it. You are lucky to buy it, most of them are not available.

I was lucky this morning and I got the fruit! many fruits! Very happy!

5. A city with poor execution and no happiness

Earlier, parents must have a positive nucleic acid test to accompany their infected children for isolation and treatment. The Shanghai Municipal Government announced on April 6 to revise the isolation policy for positive children. The new policy states that guardians of infected children with special needs can apply for escort, but they must meet certain conditions and sign a risk-informed statement.

That's good news, and it was changed after everyone responded to what all the official accounts were saying. In fact, the Shanghai Municipal Government is quite willing to listen to opinions. But this time, I don't know why, but "Pulverized"...

This time the city is closed, I think the problem is not the policy itself but the implementation of the policy. Puxi has been closed for seven days. Many street organizations are still a mess, and nucleic acids are made by many people.

That is, if we want to continue to dynamically clear, how to close it, how to guarantee supplies after the closure, how to do nucleic acid, how to prepare medicine for the elderly, how people go to the hospital, and how to deal with children's illness, we must think about it and implement it from top to bottom. Nothing is trivial. A friend of mine was scratched by a dog during the lockdown. He wanted to get a rabies vaccine, but he couldn't find a hospital where he could get an injection for a long time.

Although this does not seem to be a big deal, it is these details that make people living in a city feel happy.

postscript

On the afternoon of April 9, the Shanghai media reported that three cadres in Minhang District, Shanghai were dealt with due to poor epidemic prevention and control. This week, when the lockdown was finally lifted, the author immediately asked about the biscuit, but his reply was, "That's right. , prices have skyrocketed, logistics have not recovered, and shops on the street have not opened.

According to Biscuit, Shanghai is now divided into three areas, including the closed area, the control area and the prevention area. Only people in the prevention area can theoretically leave the community. But her home is in a sealed-off area where she can't even go downstairs.

She said: "Today I saw a friend who went out of the community to a nearby convenience store. I was so envious. I have never been so envious that I could go to the supermarket..."

It seems that it will take some time for Shanghai to return to its appearance as a prosperous international metropolis.

Note 1: Shanghai license plate means Shanghai license plate. It is often said that Shanghai license plates cannot be bought with money, and can only be transferred between immediate family members through auctions. Limited road and space resources lead to the need to control the expansion rate of vehicle ownership, destined that the Shanghai license quota will only become less and less, and the restrictions on foreign license vehicles will be tightened more strictly.
