the reason

I received a letter from the editor who asked me about my manuscript last time yesterday. The result of our discussion was that we had some misunderstandings in the communication of the letter, and he was troubled because the letter was not coded, so I hide the December 2020 date here. A new version of the original text on March 15 is hereby announced.

Logically, I should only post on Saturday, but I really want to complain, so let's talk about it while I have time now.

If you want to talk about being hired in Taiwan alone, it is a very rare thing; but if you combine the invitations from various media of various sizes in the two sides of the strait, this matter is not very rare.

When I received the notification letter from the Taiwanese media, I couldn't help but wonder if it was an honor for Taiwanese media editors for an unknown amateur writer to be invited by the media. Can I ask for such a small request for royalties?

Don't say you're just independent media with no money. When I was writing articles in mainland China, I was as small as a Zhihu column, as large as "Guohu.com" and large e-commerce companies. They asked me to write articles. No matter whether my article was published or not, and if it was published in several media, they would give it to me. manuscript fee. A basic article of NT$1,000 is not a problem, but for these big companies, a 3,000-word article will give me NT$3,000~7,000.

So what am I going to say today? What I want to say is -- for Taiwanese media editors, what do you think your media is?

I know that running a website is not easy, but since I was cultivated by "Womany Woman Fan" in 2016, I have gained a basic respect as an author on the other side of the website. I don't know it's been four years, why haven't the Taiwanese media learned their lesson?

I know that you need content very much, and I am not a stingy person. I don’t even authorize you for a small article; I am not unreasonable, because I know that editing is very hard. To understand Chinese, you need to understand content management and marketing. To understand culture, psychology, journalism, you need to know a lot, and your salary is only worth those few figures, and you are hit by traffic. I have always known that you are very hard and tired, and going to work every day is like fighting.

But if you ask for a manuscript for a writer, no matter how unnamed the writer is, every writer hopes to get the most basic respect, instead of thinking "you are great, you are great".

I know that many Taiwanese don't like to be compared by the mainland, but I have to tell the truth, why I feel that I am respected when I was invited and invited to sign in the mainland. It's one thing that they're willing to pay me for a manuscript, but I prefer that they give me the feeling of "I'm being treated as a writer" rather than a media domination, and I have to please the media and treat it with honor I submit books to the press and deal with the fact that I was asked to write.

If I was still a beginner today and was "cultivated" by "Women's Fan" in Novice Village, it would be fine, but I am also a person who signed contracts with "Guoke.com" and some mainland e-commerce companies. I am a small netizen, and I am not respected. Now, I don't know why the media in Taiwan is so disrespectful to the "teachers" in mainland China, and they ask me for free manuscripts at the same time that they pay me for manuscripts?

I must admit that I also have the experience of begging the media to accept my manuscript, but people will grow up, no one will always be a beginner in the novice village, we will also grow up, and we will also upgrade from LV.1 to LV.2 to follow up For monsters of the same level, we will also get corresponding rewards and corresponding prestige as we grow up.

So I hope that through my article, the editors will understand that we know you are under a lot of pressure, but we are not toilet paper, not because we are not well-known so we have to give you free contributions.

The manuscript fee is not a problem, but we want our articles to be truly respected, not as if I am going to kneel down to give you the article and ask you to publish it, because you are not our "teacher", and you did not want to say that while requesting the manuscript, Let's at least learn something, or at least you treat me as a friend.

Therefore, I hope that the editors of various media, if you want to get an endless stream of content, I hope you can at least treat each author as an "author" with the same respect, instead of feeling like the Jade Emperor, feeling that you are being Appointment is an honor.

Although the author is a mouse that can only eat rice, each author still hopes to become a content chef. Therefore, I hope that when the author is growing up, every media editor in Taiwan will also learn to grow up, instead of being like a beggar every day for ten years and thinking of himself as an emperor. Therefore, the four powers are Emperor Shitian.

Therefore, this article is written here, and I hope every online media can know it. I'm busy and I'm going to keep reading.
