Ms. Zou Xingtong:

I am a student from mainland China, currently living in Europe. I began to understand the relevant knowledge of June Fourth since junior high school, and it became an introduction for me to awaken my mind and embark on the road of exploring China's reform. The most powerful force to commemorate June 4th and make China and the world remember June 4th is the stake. Over the past 30 years, the stake has not been afraid of the powerful CCP regime, and has stuck to the isolated island of Hong Kong. It has contributed a lot to commemorate June 4th, promote democracy and human rights in China, and preserve fire for China's democracy movement. The slogan of the June 4th party of the stake, "End the one-party dictatorship and build a democratic China", is the common wish of the mainland, Hong Kong, the Chinese nation and overseas Chinese. In 2018, I went to Hong Kong and attended the June 4th commemorative party hosted by the stake. I joined more than 100,000 Hong Kong people to commemorate the martyrs and called for democracy. I personally felt the sense of justice and patriotism of many Hong Kong people.

I also know that nativism and separatism in Hong Kong have been trending in recent years, and the stakes and traditional pan-democrats have not only been suppressed by the CCP regime, but they have also faced a lot of indifference in Hong Kong. This further reflects the difficulty of your perseverance. There are fewer and fewer young people who care about the cause of democracy in mainland China. As a new generation of Hong Kong people, it is even more rare and precious that you actively participate in the stake and care about the cause of democracy in mainland China. The stake has successors, and China's democracy has more hope.

Since the promulgation of the National Security Law, Hong Kong's freedom has gradually declined. The stake is also facing the fate of being forced to dissolve, and the persistence of more than 30 years is about to be destroyed. You are not afraid of repression and detention, and you have defended the truth and freedom together with your colleagues in the stake. I would rather go to jail than surrender. The people of the mainland who care about democracy and human rights and remember the June 4th Movement are also grateful for your contribution. Since your imprisonment, many people, including mainland Chinese, have expressed their admiration and support for you.

I hope that you will continue to live strong and steadfast. If you face harm, you can make some flexibility to take care of yourself and preserve your strength. Although both mainland China and Hong Kong have yet to go through a period of darkness, the CCP dictatorship cannot exist forever. At that time, Chinese sons and daughters from all over the world will celebrate in unison, and the heaven and earth will be clear. People at that time will never forget your perseverance and achievements. You and your revolutionary colleagues will definitely be inscribed on the monuments of history, and those who persecuted you will be nailed to the pillar of shame forever!

Democracy must triumph and return!

Long live the motherland!

The June Fourth heroes are immortal, and the stake will live forever!
