To say success is also success, to say failure... is also full of failure...

Wahahahahaha~
What I talked about yesterday was pretty much what I expected... but as expected, I didn't talk about this article at all... and the time has come...
The correct way to say it is that I didn't even finish the second paragraph...

Yesterday I was very happy to follow the progress and asked everyone if they are familiar with Mencius?
Guess which of these idioms we are familiar with are related to Mencius?
Oh, I'm so sorry for asking everyone to guess so seriously. The answer is all of them~
By the way, I picked out the short story behind the idiom "laughing at fifty steps and laughing at a hundred steps" to illustrate the characteristics of Mencius' "knowledge of words".

Then we will talk about the part where Confucius and Mencius penetrate into our lives, give a few interesting examples, and talk about the fact that Confucianism is not really used by those in power.

This can be seen from the words of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty: "Depose hundreds of schools of thought and only respect Confucianism."
First of all, in fact, in the Han Dynasty, this sentence did not exist. The Han Dynasty said: "Xiaowu was first established, Zhuoran deposed hundreds of families, and wrote the Six Classics."
Looking at history at that time, I felt that Legalism had a bad reputation, and the Queen Mother praised Taoism, so she always wanted to find a sign to hit 0.0. That's how Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty found Confucianism~
This sentence is actually from the "Confucius Commentary" published in a magazine by the scholar Yi Baisha in 1916. The article used the sentence "Depose hundreds of schools of thought and respect Confucianism alone." It pointed out that the rulers used Confucius as a puppet to monopolize other ideas. The problem Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty did not only respect Confucianism.
To be honest, other emperors did not. They just used this fig leaf to cover up and educate the people.
In this situation, Mencius was not taken seriously. We can also see from the fact that Zhu Yuanzhang moved Mencius out of the Ancestral Temple and requested that the content be deleted, we can see that Confucianism has not been implemented in the ruling class.

Take a break and look at some greenery

What made Zhu Yuanzhang angry when he saw it?
"No king is benevolent, no king is unjust."
If the monarch is unkind, the people below will be unkind; if the monarch is unjust, the people below will be unjust. So you say that the ministers are unjust, and the king must first reflect on himself. "If you make a big mistake, you will remonstrate; if you repeat it and don't listen, you will change your position." "If you make a mistake, you will remonstrate; if you repeat it and don't listen, you will go away."
This passage is about King Xuan of Qi asking Mencius about ministers. Mencius said that there are two types of ministers. Which kind do you ask, King?
If you are a minister of the royal family, that is, someone who is related to you. If the king makes a mistake, you should try to persuade him first. If you don’t listen, then you will continue to persuade him. If you really don’t listen, we will change the king!
If it is a minister who is not related to the king, and the king has made a mistake, he should try to persuade him first. If he refuses to listen, he will continue to persuade him. If he cannot be persuaded, we will resign.
What else?
"A gentleman treats his ministers like his hands and feet, and his ministers regard him as his heart and soul; he regards his ministers as dogs and horses, and his ministers regard him as a fellow countryman; and his ministers regard his ministers as earth and mustard, and his ministers regard him as a bandit." Being a human being is mutual. You don't respect me as a talent, and I don't respect you as a boss. Huh, who is not the baby of my parents!
What is even more outrageous is the sentence "The people are the most important, the country is the second most important, and the king is the least important."
Inverted! Inverted! Who am I? My emperor! I'm the least important! This thing can't exist! Delete it for me!

How much of Mencius was deleted during the reign of Zhu Yuanzhang? There are more than eighty articles, but half of them are almost gone, and the remaining content becomes the book "Mencius's Jiewen".
Although this book disappeared more than 20 years later and the original Mencius was restored, we can also know from this that the ruling class really has no respect for Confucianism...

Speaking of which, I have just finished the preface...

Then the second paragraph briefly introduces the first six chapters of Mencius's seven chapters, that is, a little talk about the characteristics of each chapter, starting with "King Hui of Liang", then "Gongsun Chou", "Teng Wengong", "Li Lou", and "Wan Zhang" 〉, 〈Announcement〉, and finally, 〈Sincerity〉, it enters the third paragraph, which is the main content of the original plan.

This was taken by a friend~ Isn’t it cute~

As a result..., halfway through my lecture on "Gao Zi", I looked up and saw the clock..., what? The hour is up?
I didn’t even finish the second paragraph? ........
Last night, I quickly finished the "Gaozi" and told the inspiring ending. In the end, it took more than 10 minutes...

It’s a comfort that everyone listened to me and forgot to pay attention to the time... I can’t say that everyone listened very seriously, but this way of speaking in vernacular and as interesting as possible makes people compare. A little bit of doubtful approach is useful.

For example, you should have heard: Food and sex are related to sex, right?
Guess who knows about food and sex 0.0
Gaozi also talks about food and sex~
Or talk about the reasons why Mencius talked so much, and talk about the relationship between Yang Zhu and Mohist thought at that time that could not be generally promoted. Use slightly exaggerated examples so that participants can agree that Mencius had other reasons for his opposition. In simple terms One is too self-serving and the other is too altruistic, so it is difficult to promote...

There were only eight people participating yesterday, including Xiaolu and I. It doesn’t matter if there are few people, the most important thing is that everyone gains something.

As for the fact that I didn't talk about being dedicated at all..., it doesn't matter, there will always be opportunities to talk about it in the future.

Personally, I feel that the reason why I was so energetic yesterday was because of everyone’s blessings and encouragement. I would like to thank everyone for their help. I love you ( ¯ ³¯ )~♡

Finally, I would like to tell you that Mencius is really wonderful. As soon as I flipped through it, I came across a passage that made people gasp in admiration and reflect deeply on why they should not be like this.
There is such a description in Mencius' Gaozi chapter.
Mencius's student Le Zhengzi was about to be reused by the king of Lu. Mencius was very happy, so happy that he couldn't sleep at night.
The student Gongsun Chou asked the teacher: Is Le Zhengzi strong? Do you have wisdom and know strategy? Informed?
Mencius: No.
Gongsun Chou: Then why is the teacher so happy that he can’t sleep?
Mencius: The greatest advantage of Le Zhengzi is that he likes to listen to useful and correct suggestions. As long as others' words are valuable, he will obey them. With this advantage, he can govern the world, let alone the state of Lu.
The last sentence of Mencius is particularly vivid. Mencius said that when people don't like to listen to advice or can't listen to what others say, they will show an arrogant and confident look and say: Hum, I knew it a long time ago.
The original text is: "It's already known to me."訑ㄧˊ
The way his nostrils are breathing is repulsive to people thousands of miles away.
Are you good at describing whether 0.0 is wonderful?
If you are bored, you can really read Mencius. It is very interesting.

Finally, thank you all again for your encouragement yesterday!
I'm going to do today's work first, let's talk tomorrow~
