Adventure - Butterfly Maze at Jurong Lake Gardens
A few months ago, my brother fell madly in love with the maze. Before the nap, I have to listen to the story of the maze, and almost play the maze game after the nap.
After being closed for two years, although the number of confirmed cases is still very high, the Singapore and Malaysia government has gradually opened up. The news of the diagnosis of friends around me frequently appeared. Although the virus spreads fast, the mortality rate is lower after vaccine protection. Everyone seems to live with the idea of coming when they should come.
In Singapore, only confirmed cases need to be quarantined, and partners who live under the same roof every day can go out and go to work as usual as long as they pass the rapid antigen test (ART) test. The clinic will not issue sick leave, it all depends on the people's self-consciousness, voluntariness and self-discipline. The government is determined to take a coexistence with the virus.
The latest news is that people who have been vaccinated will not be required to isolate and test when they travel to Singapore and Malaysia from April 1. Well, I feel a little distressed about the cost of testing for the four people in my family, but coming back two months early is still good for me and my child, at least it's going in a good direction now.
I started taking the two little guys out and staying home and they might actually be frogs. We try to go out on Sundays to avoid the weekend crowds and to avoid shopping malls that may be crowded.
Jurong Lake Gardens, which opened in 2019, was our first adventure.
The two brothers have absolutely no recollection of taking the subway when they were young, so this is the first time the two brothers have taken the subway. I could feel their nervousness, especially my younger brother, who clenched my right hand and sat up straight without moving. It took half an hour on the subway to feel his body begin to relax and his feet stretched out.
The garden is a 5-minute walk from the subway station. I chose my brother's favorite Butterfly Maze as the destination, which is a good challenge for children who walk so much for the first time. My brother's eyes lit up as soon as he heard it, and I can imagine the corners of his mouth not smiling under his mask.
The garden is home to many reptiles and birds, and we saw four of these four-legged snakes.
The butterfly maze is well designed. There are 12 zodiac chairs to guide the children forward, and there are slides, but playing on the slides on a hot day will feel like your butt is being grilled. There are also knowledge boards about the life cycle of butterflies and butterflies, but unfortunately they are completely ignored.
After eating our lunch, we left. This little attraction alone has exhausted my brother's energy, and I have to carry it on the way home. On the return trip, I got on the double-decker bus that my brother had always attached to his heart, and it was a complete success.
postscript:
Jurong Lake Garden is free. I look forward to the reopening of the Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden in the future. I am not in a hurry because my brother has to practice his feet. The itinerary that I planned in my heart two years ago has been realized. Although it is very simple, my heart is still full.
Also, I have to let those two guys remember that the subway and the train are different, they should be the only ones in Singapore who keep clamoring to take the train and take the train. Fortunately, I am wearing a mask. . .
