【Know more about ketogenic health】2 High saturated fat cholesterol will cause cardiovascular disease? What is the relationship between coronary heart disease, ischemic stroke, type 2 diabetes?
Hello everyone, I am a light
A topic I want to talk about today is the knowledge of ketogenic health. I recently discussed with many friends about ketosis. It turns out that most of my friends reacted like this. Be careful when you are ketogenic. I asked him if you know what ketosis is? How did you know? They said that I also have some friends who are in ketosis, so I know it. It turns out that most of them have listened to others, so they don’t know much about ketosis. I have seen it, so I will make a series about Knowledge of ketogenic health. I have created a name called Shengtong Health Know More. If you want to know something that is not very clear about ketosis, you can leave a message to me, and I will answer it for you.
Today I will talk about a topic that many people will ask. Is ketogenic eating a lot of saturated fat, easy to suffer from cardiovascular problems? I will discuss this issue today, whether eating saturated fat and cholesterol will affect our cardiovascular disease. The problem?
In 2015, the US Dietary Guidelines changed some restrictions. They lifted the daily limit of 300mg of cholesterol. This is a secret move, because many experts say that most of our body's cholesterol is made by our own body. , 70% of cholesterol is produced by our liver, and our cells need cholesterol to make cell membranes. Our cell membranes are composed of these fatty cholesterols and phospholipids.
A little story to tell here is about cholesterol, where did the claim that cholesterol is bad for health come from?
It turns out that this statement originated from an animal experiment in Russia in 1913. The results of the experiment at that time showed that after the rabbit ingested a large amount of cholesterol, the sterol value in the body increased rapidly, which caused arteriosclerosis and caused life-threatening, but why did this experiment use white rabbits? What? Rabbits themselves are herbivores and their bodies do not have the ability to metabolize cholesterol! So this evidence is weak to a point! But I don’t know why it can be passed down to this day. I see that many people still don’t eat egg yolks for breakfast!
In addition to stating the upper limit of 300 mg of cholesterol, this dietary guide also clearly states the upper limit of sugar intake. It is recommended that the upper limit of sugar intake be less than 10% of the daily calorie intake. You can consume 200 calories of sugar, that is, about 50 grams of sugar is already the upper limit, but drinking a cup of bubble tea has 60 to 70 grams of sugar, and a bowl of rice has even exceeded this limit! And I have a report here In 2010, a meta-analyses paper found that saturated fatty acid intake and cardiovascular disease were not significantly associated with the risk of coronary artery disease. A systematic review and meta-analysis paper published in BMJ in 2015 reviewed multiple articles. The research paper found that the intake of saturated fatty acids was not associated with cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, ischemic stroke, and type 2 diabetes mortality. The following also said that monotrans fatty acids are related to these cardiovascular diseases and metabolism. STD related deaths, especially processed trans fats, so beware of off-street foods with some low-quality oils!
Therefore, the conclusion is that the main cause of arteriosclerosis is that it is not cholesterol nor saturated fat, because it is the factor of sugar. Too much sugar will cause oxidative stress. The sugar in the blood will combine with the protein in the blood, resulting in glycation. The protein is called AGEs end product of glycation. In the end, the glycated protein will make the blood vessel lose its original softness and become stiff, so arteriosclerosis is the reason. After the formation of arteriosclerosis, a large amount of cholesterol will accumulate and try to repair the damage around the blood vessel. Cholesterol is like a car When an ambulance arrives at the blood vessel site to rescue, a large piece of blood vessel called cholesterol plaque will form. When you see cholesterol plaque, you don’t think it is the LDL cholesterol! So cholesterol has been misunderstood as the culprit for decades!
In addition, I searched what is oxidative stress in Wiki, Oxidative Stress is a series of adaptive reactions caused by the imbalance between the body's reactive oxygen species and the antioxidant system. Interfering with the normal redox state of cells will produce peroxides and free radicals. Oxidative stress leads to toxic effects, thus damaging the protein lipids and DNA of cells, oxidative stress from oxidative metabolism can lead to muscle damage and DNA strand breaks! Oxidative stress causes cellular senescence, and oxidative stress that occurs in humans is considered to be a Causes of Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Atherosclerosis, Heart Failure and Cancer!
So why do you want to produce ketones? It is because you want to quit sugar, because glycation will cause our skin to sag and wrinkle, and at the same time, it will raise the risk of disease and eventually cause inflammation! In other words, oxidation and glycation cause inflammation and arteriosclerosis. The reason, at the end, the correct treatment method should be to avoid hydrogenated oil as much as possible, that is, the cooking oil bought in the supermarket. All seeds are hydrogenated oil, such as peanut oil, grapeseed oil, canola oil, and all seed oils are unhealthy and inferior. Oil, 90% of refined foods bought in supermarkets use these oils, so be very careful, so in addition to low-quality oils, you should try to avoid all refined sugar, white sugar, porridge, flour, rice, and high-sugar foods. All need to eat as little as possible or chew for a longer time, find some healthy brown rice and choose some low-glycemic index foods, so that the body can reduce the glycation as much as possible, so why are there so many benefits of ketosis! It is because we avoid Open these sugars and reduce the sugar to a very low level to avoid this glycation!
