Matters Crypto Wallet Guide (Updated 2022.10)

Matters supports crypto wallet registration, login and binding.

If you are already a Matters user, you can choose to still use your email and password to log in, and bind your account to your encrypted wallet, so that you can more easily participate in Matters' Web3 experiments in the future.

If you haven't registered for Matters, you can choose to register with your wallet or email. Wallet registration currently supports MetaMask and WalletConnect.

＊＊Before operating, please pay attention to the following points＊＊

1. In order to maintain the security of your account, the encrypted wallet cannot be reset after connection. If you have several wallet addresses, please confirm whether the address is correct before binding. (If the wallet is stolen or cannot be used for other reasons, please write to hi@matters.news )

2. If you have participated in the Airdrop of Travelloggers and bound your wallet at that time, you also need to follow the instructions below to go through the login and binding process to enable the login and cryptocurrency payment functions of the wallet.

3. If you are a Travelloggers holder and want to display your Little Orange Book and related badges in your Matters account, please use the wallet that holds Travelloggers to bind, or transfer Travelloggers to the bound wallet address.

How to register with the wallet

Friends who have not registered Matters can now register through the encrypted wallet, and they will no longer need to enter their mailbox and password when entering Matters in the future. The mailbox is only used as a contact method, not for login purposes. Users who register with the wallet can only log in with the wallet.

Enter from the pop-up window in the upper corner of the home page and select "Connect Crypto Wallet":

After the wallet is signed, the registration is successful!

**Please note: At this time, the encrypted wallet is the only way to verify your identity on the Matters website. Please protect your wallet private key properly, and Matters will not ask for your private key through any contact information. **

How to bind a wallet

For registered users, please log in to Matters using your e-mail address. Then you have two portals to enable the wallet, one is the homepage of the website orthe page where you select the wallet connection from "Settings". Please confirm the wallet address and connection status you want to use, and click "Connect":

After completion, if the wallet address has Travelloggers, the relevant badges and decorations will be displayed on the personal page and avatar. Please properly protect your account password and wallet private key. Matters will not ask for your password and private key through any contact information.

After you connect your Matters account to your wallet, you can still use your original email to log in.
