Russian kvass

Kvass is a traditional Russian drink made from yeast, sugar and water. Here is a simple recipe for kvass:
Ingredients list:
-1 liter of water
-200g sugar
-50g dry yeast
-30g raisins
Preparation:
1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar and raisins. Place over medium heat and bring to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
3. Add dry yeast to the pot and stir.
4. Cover the pot and leave it in a warm place for 12-24 hours.
5. When the kvass is ready, strain it through cheesecloth or a sieve.
6. Kvass can be consumed immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
