Aviation Science Seeing Life | Driving a Plane to Driving Life
You are flying the plane, not the plane is flying you!
Three basic concepts of flying an airplane
- Interpretation status: the attitude, speed, altitude and heading are judged by the instrument. For the latter three, the status quo (usually displayed in white), the target (usually marked in pink and purple), and the trend (usually green arrows) should be observed in sequence.
- Command and control: adjust the current situation through the joystick and throttle.
- Watch for changes and confirm results: See if manipulation is appropriate based on adjusted trends.
Three basic concepts of life
- Self-awareness: Understand the current position, state, and analyze how to change the trend to achieve the goal.
- Execution and practice: Adjusting factors such as mindset, behavior, or energy.
- Analyze the results: Find out if it is a valid correction and find a better solution.
The same can be found
Altitude for speed; speed for altitude.
Similar to energy conservation, changing a project usually affects the whole. If it is done too hastily, it may cause chaos in the system. When the state of life (meter) is unbalanced, it is not necessary to rush to chase all the items (attitude, speed, height) immediately, but as mentioned in "Atomic Habits":
Implemented a system of continuous pursuit of small improvements, yielding different results.
The "minor improvement" lies in the compounding effect created by the continuous adjustment of different systems.
The essence of multiplexing is to "consider priority"
The so-called multitasking ability can be seen everywhere in the resumes of flying planes, large machines, and even job search websites. However, multitasking, is doing a lot of things and thinking a lot at the same time? In fact, it is not. It is more stable and appropriate to distribute according to priorities, and to deal with matters in a calm and rational order (completing the procedures on the flight).
I have control.
When the two pilots "change hands", the standard procedure stipulates that they must confirm the "right of control" to each other. Before and after, the new pilot will say "I have control." at least twice. )". The author wishes the readers here: Your life, you have control.
