[TCLin's Travel Log] Japan Attractions: Northernmost Limit - Cape Sukudon
Location: The northernmost tip of Rebun Island Transportation: You can take a bus, rent a car and drive from Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and go north by bicycle
🔴 -Science time- 🔴
Let’s talk a little about the northernmost place. I used to think that this was the northernmost point in Japan. After measuring the latitude, I found it to be Cape Mongko in Wakkanai.
● Cape Mongko (the northernmost point in Japan) 45 degrees 31 minutes 22 seconds north latitude ● Cape Sukudon (the most northern boundary of Japan) 45 degrees 27 minutes 51 seconds north latitude
I couldn't find a place to put my camera and took a selfie, so I had to wait here for someone to show up. It's a hot spot for about 5 minutes. I finally caught someone. After all, I came to the northernmost limit .<br class="smart">I didn't take any pictures. Come on, it's such a pity
After taking the photo, I continued to go down. Although I have just walked past once, but no one was there at that time, so I went down again.
On the right is a B&B. If you are interested, you can also come and see the northernmost B&B.
Finally, let me find a location to take a selfie~✌️
The picture below is a selfie picture. Where to take a selfie, especially in those places where no one is there
As soon as I got down the stairs, I saw the northernmost sign. There is no place to put a camera and take a selfie, so I had to wait for someone to show up again.
When people come, there are photos 👏👏
The island that looks across is the so-called sea lion island. I heard that when you are lucky, you can see seals appearing in front of you, but I didn't see it.
It's just a viewing platform, plus it's a day when no seals can be seen. After taking pictures, it seems like it's almost done. Then I go back to the sales department to have a look.
Bought only the famous thing here - kelp ice cream seems to be 400 yen and it is delicious, but I didn't taste kelp
The toilet with a cool name - the most northbound toilet, so I took a picture
🔴 - Today's experience- 🔴
If you come here by bicycle, it will be quite tiring. There are many sections of the road with headwinds and a very high slope. I can't ride up. Maybe a group of people renting a car would be the best deal. I didn't come here especially because I lived in Rebun Island for a while, so I took the time to come and have a look.
It can be seen that the photo above is a combination of two days. The second time I came is for walking - the cape cruise route is scheduled to be an 8-hour path, which is why I went to Rishiri Island in poor condition and went to Rishiri two days after the 8-hour walk. The foot of the island is so painful that I can only give up climbing Mount Rishiri 🥺🥺
If you are interested, you can also take a look at other Rebun Island attractions. 👉 Japanese attractions: Canary Park in the north
