Graduated from university and not unemployed - how to write the resume that the boss wants to see?
There are two types of resumes:
· Skills-focused: for career changers, school leavers or those with gaps in work experience
· Work experience at the center: for those who demonstrate work experience and advance to the next stage of their career
How to make your resume more eye-catching
Recruiters will use 15-20 seconds to scan your resume for the first time. If your resume grabs their attention, they will read your resume more carefully. Therefore, the following points should be noted:
· Use moderately sized black fonts for easy reading
· Use beautiful titles
· Use short sentences and break up paragraphs, taking care to leave white space
· Use Column Points to list information
· Maintain a formal tone and avoid abbreviations and colloquialisms
· Avoid photos or images
· Keep your resume to two pages or less.
Contents of your resume:
· Your name and contact details
· Technical and personal skills
· Work, club or volunteer experience
· License and educational background
· Referrer
· Objective personal statement
· Achievement
· interest
· Job-specific information (e.g. teachers will put their teaching philosophy on a CV)
Last but not least, save your resume as a Word document and PDF. Your employer may require one of these two types of files. Name your profile with your name, date of application, and employer you're applying to so recruiters can find your resume faster. Just make sure your resume is written in accordance with the above precautions, and you will not be afraid of finding a job!
