In recent months, due to the impact of the epidemic, the company's employees have begun to work from home. There is no way to talk face-to-face when discussing, but it can be solved by talking back and forth several times. After all, the development is done on their own computers, and the members can work independently without the supervision and guidance of the supervisor. In fact, it has little impact on the development.

The most troublesome thing is that people at home have to write a work log every week to record what projects (including rest time) they spend 8 hours a day on. hours, and once again felt that I was not as efficient as I expected.

With the easing of the epidemic, the company has changed from working from home to diverting work. All employees are divided into four groups, namely group A who enter the company in a single week, group B who enter the company every two weeks, group C who must continue to enter the company for work needs, and special groups. Factors do not enter Group D of the company. Everyone needs to quickly screen and upload negative test results before entering the company on the Friday before entering the company, so as to reduce the risk of infection in the office.

One Friday after the triage, I prepared the quick screening reagents and kept them at hand. After I planned to screen again in the afternoon, the supervisor sent a message to the group saying that there was a meeting at 10:00, and all engineers were invited to attend. The reason is that the upper management judged that the product could not achieve the goal of breaking even in the short term according to the existing resource input, and hoped to concentrate resources on other products to solve the problem, so the department was removed.

Employees can decide to internally transfer to other departments or be severanced to find a job outside. The transfer requires an interview with the director of the target department and accepts a three-month probation period. If the transfer is unsuccessful, it will go back to the severance process.

Compared with independent start-up companies, small products under a group like ours may be more secure, and salaries and severance pay are still available. The incident of being suddenly told "I'm looking for a job!" may be The path to a career.
